From the Chair…
As the Weather has not been the best since the last meeting and Adrian has been
snow bound In Minneapolis in the USA for some of that time we will move
right along with the rest of the newsletter!
Future Club Meeting Topics
March—Show & Tell—everyone
Bring along your new models, radio gear, tools, toys….anything really and tell us all about it, these are great nights and its good to get a
preview of what will be gracing the skies for the next year.
April—Quiz Night—Andy Nelson
As it will probably be light there is an opportunity to fly small electric’s before the meeting, then it’s the Quiz, last time Mick won AGAIN
even though we computerised it! It was a great night last time and we have the same equipment again, the topics will be Aviation and
Model aviation as well as an observation round or two and what happened next, don’t miss this one it’s a blast, also the prize will be
topical!
May & June—BBQ at Goldsborough
Weather permitting we will be flying at Goldsborough and having the usual BBQ nights, just bring something to chuck on the BBQ!
July—August—unofficial BBQ Meeting
In Past years we have BBQ’d over these months, check the website forum to see if anyone is going.
September — Swap Meet—everyone
Back at the Harrogate Cricket Club, there will probably be flying before the meeting, then it’s the much anticipated Bring and Buy, swap
meet, call it what you will. Bring along your stuff to sell and see who will buy it!
October—Phils Build and Fly evening—Phil Dean
Once again our Welfare Officer will come up with some materials which we have to turn into a real flying machine or not if past form is anything to go by! It’s a great evening and one not to be missed.
November — Modern Materials and Fabrication—Andy Nelson
Been experimenting with different materials and fabrication techniques over the last year and some have proved quite useful so I thought I
was time to share some of the stuff I have come up with, you never know, some of it might be useful!
December — AGM
And we are back round to the AGM

This Months Club Meeting Topic
Any Questions—everyone
If you have any issues with your models, radio, repairs, operation or
anything related to model flying and fabrication just bring it along and show
everyone. With such a wealth of experience in the room your sure to get an
answer, its not often that someone hasn’t come across the same issue.
The important part is to bring the offending item with you, it was pointed
out by someone that as a model club we are not very good at bringing
models to the meetings, so lets prove them wrong and fill the room with
broken and faulty equipment……………....hmmm not sure that that was the
point but you get the idea!
Club Roundup—what’s everyone been up to?
As there has not actually been a lot of flying going on due to
the ever increasing number of storms that are battering our
shores I thought I would recant the tale of the electric motor
that exploded in one of my models a couple of months ago, but
on opening this months RC Model World I found out that the
whole story was laid out nicely along with a picture of what remains of the motor on page 103, if you want to know more I
recommend getting the mag, it’s a great read especially as
there is another picture of yours truly on the bottom of the
page, I have included it below to fill space, plus it’s a really cool
picture!!
