Spark-Up Idea Fund Program
icreate (International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology) is an autonomous
centre to facilitate wide range of ‘Next Generation Entrepreneurship’. icreate was launched
under the dynamic leadership of Shri Narendra Modi to create an ecosystem which enables
and nurtures Next Gen Entrepreneurial initiatives which leverage innovations and
technology.
With an aim to “Seek & Amplify” the entrepreneurial traits of Students, icreate has designed
a special program for the students - ‘Spark-Up Idea Fund’, wherein, deserving and
innovative ideas/projects receive upto Rs. 50,000 to take the idea/project to the next level.
The Spark-Up Idea Fund program is a unique opportunity for students to submit their
techno-vative idea & potentially have an opportunity for funding upto Rs. 50,000. Any
student or team from any discipline or college can apply for the fund. To meet the qualifying
criteria, idea must be implementable, commercially viable and new or one giving a better
alternative to an existing product or service. The idea must be backed by a committed
individual or team who can take the idea from one stage to the next.
Students are expected to fill a simple application form describing the idea, giving reasons on
why the idea should be selected. Provide references from people who would vouch for the
students or the team and details of the amount of fund required at various stages.
The grant decision (after multiple selection process) would be in 45-50 days of application
submission deadline and once selected, teams have to provide the proof of concept in 90
days. While the IPR would remain with the individual submitting the idea, icreate reserves
the right to publicize the winner and the idea. Students applying for the Spark-Up Idea Fund
program, have to ensure that there would be one Faculty/Mentor/Guide from their
respective college for monitoring and hand holding locally once the idea/project gets
selected for funding. The centre would expect regular Reporting and face-to-face meeting
with the student(s) during the execution stage and an orientation, mid-term review and final
presentation at the end of the project work.
Till now, icreate has funded and supported 19 innovative students projects from various
Institutions spread across the country.

The Spark-Up Idea Fund is designed with an aim to Seek & Amplify the entrepreneurial traits
of aspiring entrepreneurs/students wherein the deserving ideas/projects would be supported
and funded upto Rs. 50,000 each. This is a unique opportunity for aspiring Student
Entrepreneurs to take their techno-vative idea to the next level.
