Google Scholar preferences - Southern Cross University

Google Scholar Preferences
Setting your ‘Google Scholar preferences’ allows you link to fulltext articles that we have available via the SCU
Library, as well as importing any records of interest to Endnote.
HINT: Sign into your Google account (gmail or google+ account) before setting these preferences, & again before
you do any scholar searching.
At Google Scholar http://scholar.google.com.au/ click on the Settings link (top RH corner of screen).
The main fields to change are Collections, Bibliography Manager and Library
Select the ‘collections’ you wish to search. I am only interested in searching articles on GS.
Under Bibliography Manager select Endnote, from the drop down box.
The most important thing to check is the Library Links.
In the LH column, click on Library links.
In the search box type Southern Cross University, then click on Find Library
(Although there are 2 links already
displaying for SCU (below the search
box) these are NOT the correct links.
The screen will refresh, and SCU – Find it @ SCU will appear below the search box. Tick the box next to SCU – Find it
@ SCU.
Make sure that you click on Save.
When you do your next search in Google Scholar, there will be links to the SCU fulltext (Find it @ SCU) and to the
Endnote import option.
