Use a variety of programmes such as “map my route” to identify an appropriate route and work in partnership with Green Spaces Team and Surrey County Council to install the route. Formed two Over 50s sessions of Pilates and Tennis from using the Physical inactivity survey database which have all continued following the end of the courses. This gave parents an opportunity to participate in a 45 minute circuit style activity whilst their children are playing club football. 10 regular parents, mixed genders participate weekly with Molesey Juniors FC. Installed Xplorer courses at Coronation Recreation ground in Hersham and Elm Grove Recreation Ground in Walton and ran activities throughout Easter and Summer 2016. Approximately 100 families in total attended so far this year. This will be continuing in October and Christmas. 2.3 Introduce 1 challenge a year for residents to take part in for example from couch to 5k, 1 mile fun run or a step challenge, enabling residents to set themselves a target, either alone or with their family and friends which will vastly increase their physical activity levels. We raised £207 for Macmillan Cancer Awareness as part of this. As part of the I am Team GB media campaign, we will be holding a family fun run at Coronation Recreation Ground on Saturday 27th august free of charge. We plan to run a Santa fun run at the same venue in December 2016. Hosted a club conversations event on 20th Jan and 20th March with a total of volunteers to attend in order to promote the benefits of attending the workshops. Encourage 15 volunteers/coaches from Elmbridge to attend each workshop. and posters. Host a workshop at a convenient time for club coaches and volunteers. 3.2 Create strong links between clubs and introduce a free annual networking evening and forum at the Civic Centre to develop better working practice for greater opportunity for provision. Organise club networking evenings once every year with ice-breakers and opportunity for open forum among clubs in order for clubs to discuss any issues and ask for support. SDO and local sports clubs Dec 2016 25 different club representatives in attendance around the Borough. 13 Elmbridge coaches attended other courses around the Borough such as Safeguarding and First Aid. Will be hosting a Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshop in October. Allocated 2 free spaces to local clubs for this course. So far have hosted two tennis forums with 10 local clubs in attendance and all local clubs being regularly communicated to. Working in partnership with Active surrey to organise a volunteer recruitment evening in November held at the Civic Centre. Planning to host an annual networking event in January for all of the local sports clubs and physical activity providers. This will be a good chance to discuss the year 2 action plan.
