2013/2014
In order to hold a Tennis Hot Shots Coaching licence you must:

Be a Tennis New Zealand registered Coach.

Hold the minimum qualification of Assistant Junior Coach (AJC), or the International/Historical
equivalent. From October 2015 the minimum qualification required will be the Junior
Development Coach (JDC).
The Tennis Hot Shots Coaching Program (Program) is available to Tennis New Zealand registered and
suitably qualified (mentioned above) Coaches (Coaches) in New Zealand. The Program is designed
as a way for children to enjoy tennis through an innovative, practical philosophy called ‘Learning
through Play’. This means that playing the game of tennis, or modified versions of the game, is the
central feature of Tennis Hot Shots sessions.
As the Coach registering to the Program you enter into this Tennis Hot Shots Coaching Agreement
(Agreement) with the understanding that the quality of your Tennis Hot Shots Coaching Program
ultimately lies with you.
This agreement sets out the terms and conditions with which the Coach, including all volunteers and
assistants involved in the running of the Program with or on behalf of the Coach must comply. The
Coach is responsible to ensure all volunteers and other individuals involved with running the Program
comply with the terms of this Agreement.
Tennis New Zealand may accept or reject this application for registration in its absolute discretion. It
is the Coach’s responsibility to ensure they have met and continue to meet the requirements specified
in this Agreement. If the Coach breaches any of these terms and conditions or fails to meet any of the
requirements described in this Agreement, Tennis New Zealand may, in its absolute discretion,
suspend or terminate the registration.
Tennis New Zealand may at any time withdraw the Coach’s right to conduct the Program if Tennis
New Zealand elects or is compelled or obliged to cease promoting and conducting the Tennis Hot
Shots Program for any reason.
A refund will be provided if the application is rejected. Once the application has been accepted, there
are no refunds for registration fees for the Tennis Hot Shots Program (even if a registration is
suspended or cancelled) and registrations are not transferable.
