Tournament Guidelines:
1.
Coin Flip for each game:
—Winner of Coin Flip: Home Team
—Loser of Coin Flip: Choice of Dugout
2.
Game Time Limit: 2 hrs. 10 min.
3.
No Ties in double-elimination format. If tied after 7 innings or time limit, we will break the tie by playing an extra inning
until tie is broken. (No special rules for breaking ties.)
4.
Mercy Rules are in effect: 20 runs after 3 innings; 15 runs after 4 innings; 10 runs after 5 innings
5.
Pre-Game Infield: If time allows, each team is allowed some pre-game infield; be considerate in allowing your opponent
the same amount of infield time. Game times will not be altered in order to allow for pre-game infield, so if games are
running “over,” there will be no pre-game practice.
6.
The Extra Games: Ties are permitted after 7 innings or Time Limit.
7.
Please pick up your Litter in the Dugout so the next team will have a clean dugout.
8.
Intentionally Losing or forfeiting a game (for whatever reason) goes “counter” to the spirit of competition. If there are
dire circumstances, please discuss with the Tournament Director.
9.
Ejection: A player or coach who is ejected from a game must “sit out” the next game. Depending upon the infraction,
HWSA may take additional disciplinary action against the ejected coach. Taking additional disciplinary action against the
ejected player is the responsibility of the team.
