In our first away game since the start of June, the trip south to Kerang today will see some challenging games on the field and hopefully some consolidation at the netball courts. Last week it was great to host Balranald and their supporters and our Goods and Services Auction was a definite success. Thanks go to the organisers, Luke, Rod, Bubbles and Trippy and to Jamie Williams for his auctioneering. Also to all those who donated items for auction and the biggest thanks go to those who attended and put up their cash for the club – a great night had by all. Please make sure to settle your accounts with Ian Ray ASAP. Seniors –in a fantastic effort by the whole team it came down to the wire. After a seesawing battle to half time, the Dogs trailed by 24 points but came back after the break and rallied. The boys clawed their way back in the 3rd quarter. With just minutes to spare at the end of the game, it was all tied up when Thommo converted after a costly 50m penalty from the Roos. It’s a great feeling to have a win and the Balranald boys put in a mighty effort. An excellent game to witness with both sides desperate for the win. Back at the Alan Garden Reserve we had a successful day on the courts against some determined opposition. Balranald might not have been able to fill all sides out this year but those they have are all spirited and worthy opponents.
