k kmakers f f goderich market seasonal indoor market k Winter 2016 Guidelines & Application The Goderich Makers Market is an indoor market that operates out of the Huron County Museum. The Goderich Makers Market is coordinated by Amy and George Zoethout, and Dana Lumby of the Goderich Makers Mercantile. This market is for local food producers, artists, makers, and crafters of handmade, high-quality items. This market runs on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm the Huron County Museum in Goderich. The Museum is located at 110 North St., Goderich and runs: Nov. 1, Nov. 18, Nov. 25, Dec. 3, Dec. 10, Dec. 17, Jan. 7, Feb. 4, March 4 and April 1. ALLOCATION OF SPACE AND COSTS Space will be designated on a first come first serve basis. Set up is allowed starting at 7am. We will do our best to accommodate regular vendors in the same space each week. All vendors are required to bring their own tables and display materials as well as extension cords if required. Space and pricing include: - Small card table - $20 - 6-10 foot table - $25 - Up to 20 feet - $45 - $225 for entire season paid before Nov. 9. Committing to entire season will also give you guarantee of same space for the season. Please contact us for pricing Weekly payments must be made in cash and will be collected and receipted at each market. Notification of attendance at the Market must be received by the Wednesday before each Market. Cancellations must also be received the Wednesday before each Market. No-shows will be charged the weekly fee. PRODUCTS ALLOWED FOR SALE AT THE GODERICH MAKERS MARKET: Locally grown and made food items which meet health unit farmers market regulations - it is the vendor’s responsibility to ensure all health unit regulations are met Handmade art and crafts of various mediums Other locally made products (on prior approval) – please send a picture or link to your product along with your application Anything sold at the Makers Market must be grown, made, etc. by the person selling the items at the market Priority vendors are those from within the boundaries of Huron County and Southern Bruce County. If space allows, we will include vendors from Perth County, Wellington County and further afield – including these vendors is at the discretion of the Makers Market Coordinator. VENDOR RESPONSIBILITIES Vendors are responsible for their market space and must keep it free from refuse and always inviting to the public. No sandwich boards allowed - indoor space is limited. All electrical cords will be secured so as not to create a tripping hazard. It is the vendor’s responsibility to meet the requirements of local health authorities. Vendors are responsible for removing their own garbage after each market day. Vendors are required to vacate their space within one hour of the close of the Market. Vendors are responsible for all sales at their designated space. Vendors are encouraged to promote the Goderich Makers Market through any and all channels. The key to a successful market is getting people to come and purchase these local products.
