The competition will be a live competition on Friday 7th July 2017 in the Carnival Marquee, Saffron
Walden.
The competition will follow the traditional process of being interviewed on stage by our compere /
host in front of a panel of judges and live audience. This can be a nervous experience for many and
should you wish to visit the Marquee in advance of the competition to familiarise yourself with the
set-up and structure, this can be accommodated with sufficient notice.
The winner will be announced on the night and crowned Carnival Queen 2017.
The role of Carnival Queen and Attendants has wide-ranging responsibilities and role model status
with many of our younger visitors and guests. It is essential to SWRT that the values of the role are
upheld at all times.
