HOLIDAY HOMEWORK
CLASS IV (2013-14)
The summer vacation’s here at last !
We'll have only fun.
We won't study all day long any more ,
and the fun will last all day long.
But we won't know what to do any more,
perhaps we'll go outside and play all day long,
Or stay indoors and watch TV all the more,
we'll only play games all day long,
But we won’t be confused , and bored any more
for we know what to do all day long,
We’ll have fun with our holiday work all the more.

- Thinking Skills
Dear Parents, do remember :
There are many opportunities to develop your child’s thinking skills when he/she is playing at
home. A simple exercise such as showing him/her the items bought, after a shopping trip, involves
your child in sorting and grouping items.
List Out- Make a list of food items that you would like to buy for a get-together
with your friends. Also make a budget of a certain amount approved by
your parents( not more than Rs 100/-). Make a total bill for the
items you want to buy and see if the amount is more than your budget.
If the total is more than your budget, decide if the list should be cut
down by a few items. Show your budgeted and original lists
with amounts on A4 size sheet(s).
