Summary :
As the number of the illiterates and poorly educated populations is being raised during
the past twenty years in Iraq and the side-effects of this problem is being an increased number of the
unemployed or very low income which is in turn reflecting its arrays on the community with a
declining in the social development and a delay in the improvement on all the critical levels including
economy , industry , scientific
So to overcome all the above problems and contribute to a better community and improve
humanity an excess of efforts and team work is required, providing national identification to children
who lack them , introduction of children to schools and re-involve those who skipped into schools
and run workshops and training programs to improve the social skills and other skills that can help
uneducated persons to get better jobs and to raise their incomes .
Actually there are no programs our organizations that their main goal is education in Iraq.
The Purpose:


raising the educational level
improving the income and affording work opportunities .
According to the UNISCO researches in 2011 on the illiteracy in Iraq revealed that we have
around 7 million illiterate persons which statistically corresponds to
40 % of the total population of the country .
of course this huge percentage is considered as a major problem and it is threatening the
economy and the development of the country
Strategy and Goal :
Determination of the accurate number of the babies who don’t have birth certificate and
national IDs , the number of the people who are considered illiterate :
A ) those who never attended school because of poverty ( child labor ) .
B ) those who skipped school because of poverty , family ignorance , lack of self security .. etc .
C ) those who old and refuse to attend school for unidentified reasons .
The current status of the project : An idea .
The partners:
USAID in Iraq
Regional and National NGOs (many NGOs showed ability to work to support educational
programs
Donations
Sales (shirts, T-shirts, bags , folders .. etc. )
U.S embassy grant (deadline for the grant is September the first for all the Alumni of the
exchange programs from the U.S embassy in Baghdad that reaches 5000 dollars per person) .
Plan:
Releasing surveys on the internet and to the public to get an idea about the cities and areas in
which:

children live without birth certificates or national ID ( like a social number in the U.S )
Children who never attended school due to child labor.
Young people who skipped school due to poor financial status .
People who are over 30 and are illiterate and refuse to go into our literacy programs .
after getting the results of the survey , voluntary teams of young people who apply to
participate in the project can be sent to these areas to make a scan and to determine the exact
number of the members of the above groups who need the help .
after coming back with all the required information , our team will sit to the table to
determine “ who “ needs “ what “ .
according to the above groups , our work will consists the followings :
1 – working with the government to obtain birth certificates and national IDs for those who
don’t have it to facilitate the process of getting them into the schools .
2- To find funding resources for the families of working children to allow their kids to be
involved into the schools
We have a future plan to be in touch with families to support those children by monthly
payment , in order to compensate for what was provided by these children on condition that they
have to complete their studies and this support will be deducted if they left their studies .
3- Reinforce those who skipped school to seek a job to support their families , by putting
them in evening classes programs or try to find a fund raising resource for them , or simply put them
into our literacy programs .
4- those who are over 30 and refuse to enter the literacy programs and have a poor financial
status and low income , will provided with workshops according to the preferences , these workshop
will help them to improve their social skills and professional skills like ( carpenters , blacksmith ) .

USAID : help us to obtain the required official birth and national IDs .
U.S. embassy Baghdad grants : covering the transportation , printing , logistics , orientation
sessions , workshops , and reinforcement for the students .
Donations :
The volunteers , members of the organization , family , friends , Major business institutes in the
country .

By selling Clothes and other accessories, Post Cards that support the education,
materials will have the TRIANGLE logo printed on it .

2- Social media plan
we've already established a Facebook page , linked in , twitter , tumbler and an E-mail address , this
step will be after the identity papers step , so we will have some data ( videos , photos and blogs ) for
what we did ,our plan is to choose an unlimited number of online volunteers , those volunteers will
participate in our program by weekly tasks includes sharing what we do (after recording and editing it
in videos ) or what we blog on Facebook pages or twitter accounts of some well-known personalities
or those who take care of community serve , for example Angelina Jolie , Bill Gates .. etc. , , every one
of them has a huge number of fans , this should
1-expand the number of our followers, so we will be a well-known organization.
2- This may be a source of support or donation from these characters or their followers, how to
motivate those online volunteers? 1-weekly top 5 , monthly number one , depending on the
applications that say I've already completed my task , weekly top 5 their names and maybe pictures
will be designed and attached to any E-mail sent from triangle during this week , will be on Facebook
cover , monthly top one will get a T-shirt , mobile cover or a pin from triangle .
