QUESTIONS 1. There are 21 different games at Keku Gym in the 1st

Kamehameha Schools, always
known for its academics. But
Kamehameha is known for its
academics just as much as its
athletics. Kamehameha is and old
school. So that means the buildings
have a long history. Probably a
biulding on campus with a lot of
very interesting history is
Kekuhaupio Gymnasium. Before
Keku Gym was not always this ultra
modern facility, actually before 1979
it was just an aircraft hangar that
had been donated by the Hawaiian
Air Transport Service in 1951. The
cost of building its foundations and
other things such as that took a
total price of $47,656. In mid-1979
the school began to build a new
facility, the old hangar would be
donated to Saint Francis School at
their own expense of removing it.
The new facility we all know today
has a main all purpose basket ball
court with bleachers, a snackshop,
a wrestling room, dance studio,
weight room, gymnastic all purpose
room, and racquet ball courts. The
total cost was an amazing
$3,561,846.
