Venerable Brothers,
Vivat Jesus!
Summer has begun! And with it, the vacation season. To truly
relax and get away is important for both the natural and spiritual
life. My heavens - even God Himself took time to rest after
creating the world! We need vacation and extended times of
relaxation for our overall health and wellbeing.
But do we vacation well?
While on vacation, are we still faithful to our daily prayer and to Sunday Mass?
While on vacation, do we avoid occasions of sin and those activities and locations that
lead us away from God?
While on vacation, are we truly present to our families, or do we stay connected to
work through an inordinate use of our computer and phone?
While on vacation, do we make an effort to incorporate a rest for our senses through
the willing embrace of occasional silence and meditation?
While on vacation, do we act as worthy Sir Knights and faithful, practical Catholics?
My brothers, vacation well this summer.
May Our Lady of the Highways bless you and protect you in the months ahead,
wherever the road may take you.

Brother Sir Knights,
I would like to thank everyone, for your many contributions, that contributed
to the Great year we had during my year as Navigator of the Monsignor
Ravoux Assembly!
I had a lot of challenges in the beginning, but with all the help from my
fellow officers and assembly members, I was able to learn and grow.
Thanks to all the Sir Knights and their Ladies for all the support and faith in
me!
I would like to express a very special thank you to my wife Lady Vickie, for all her patience,
assistance and hard work. Without her dedication and support, I would not have had the successful
year I did. Thank you my Lady Vickie!!
A few of the special moments I will always remember are:
All the prayers and support I received with the loss of sight in my right eye. My recent doctor
appointment showed no change, so please keep me in your prayers.
Brother Sir Knight John Lawless’ funeral, seeing all the Honor Guard Members that attended. I was
filled with so much pride seeing all the support we gave to his family. Sir Knight John Lawless and
Lady Mary helped me in many ways. Thank you Lady Mary Lawless!
The Spring Exemplification in Mankato, was a nice time to mingle with Sir Knights and their Ladies
from other assemblies. With the addition of three Sir Knights and their Ladies, it is nice to see our
Assembly grow!
As an active member of the Honor Guard, I was able to visit many new beautiful churches that I
would otherwise have not seen. I urge all to join the Honor Guard, as it is such a privilege to provide
Honor Guards for our priests and bishops.
Thank you once again to all our Sir Knights and their Ladies! You made this year special and I will
never forget the pride I experienced being the Navigator of our Ravoux Assembly.
I wish only the best for our next Navigator and officers who will be elected at our June meeting.
Please remember in your thoughts and prayers the Sir Knights and Ladies that have recently passed.
Please keep all of our sick and distressed Brother Sir Knights and Ladies in your prayers.

Avenue). Assembly Time 9:30AM; Mass at 10:00AM followed by a procession
around parish property.
