FMMS Teachers Win Georgia Middle School Association
Team of the Year
HOUSTON COUNTY, GA – A group of Feagin Mill Middle School teachers have been named Team of
the Year by the Georgia Middle School Association (GMSA). The recognition is for their outstanding,
positive impact on the lives of youth. The teachers will be honored on Feb. 27 during the GMSA 39th
Annual Conference and Exhibit in Valdosta, Ga. The teachers on the winning team are: Stephen
Edwards, Amanda Kling, Wendy Pheil and Kristy Yarbrough.
“I am proud of my teachers,” said Principal Dr. Jesse Davis. “They are very well-deserving of this
recognition. Thank you to the Georgia Middle School Association for recognizing excellence in
middle-level education.”
Each year GMSA recognizes up to eight teams for their outstanding work to improve the education
and well-being of young adolescents in the state. GMSA is a leader for continuous improvement in
the education of middle grade students through promoting exemplary educational practices and
offering support and resources to all Georgia middle grade educator.
