Snapshot report Under the agreement for 2014 Croydon State School received $13664 Our full 2014 agreement can be found here o Our school strategies are showing substantial progress toward our targets After reviewing our Great Results Guarantee agreement, it is clear that we have made progress toward our targeted student outcomes. We will continue to focus on maximising the benefits of this funding for our students, and adjust our strategies as needed to ensure every student succeeds. Our 2014 results are as follows: PM Reading Levels Prep L5 42% Prep L10 0% 1 L15 33% 1 L20 17% 2 L20 50% 2 L25 10% 3 L25 33% 3 L30 33% 4 L30 100% The difference in the school M.S.S. compared to the nation had been reduced from 110 points to 58 points. It has been effectively halved. 25% of students in year 3 were in the upper two bands for reading which exceeded expectations. This was reinforced across all year levels with the PatR data. Strategies implemented include: ·Employ extra teacher to work with students needing extra assistance ·Follow through on QSIL actions including PD on reading difficulties ·Employ two extra teacher aides to work with students during literacy time. ·Train teacher aides in teaching reading, spelling mastery, and cars/stars ·Purchase cars and stars program and extend on spelling mastery program Teachers to participate in the FNQ Explicit teaching project
