Profile: Tom has been an excellent signing
from local neighbours Highworth Town in the
summer of 2003. He has demonstrated his
goalkeeping ability on many occasions since
signing for the club. A number of excellent
performances over the past two seasons was
rewarded with the coveted Road Runners
Player of the Season trophy in his first season
and the Managers Player of the Season in his
second. Tom is agile, strong and brave in those
one to one situations. He has a safe pair of
hands when handling crosses and is an
excellent all round keeper with brilliant reflexes.
Another player who once again was much sort
after during the pre-season and we are pleased
he signed for the club for the 2005/06 season.

Profile: Roman came to the club in July 2005
seeking a trial. After playing in a couple of preseason trial games, one was in goal for Cove
after their keeper broke a finger, he signed
before the start of the season. Although he
conceded five goals in the Cove match he
played well with some good saves, notably a
couple of point blank efforts. Roman was born
in Slovakia and been in the UK for about a year
before playing local football. He should provide
suitable cover for Tom King and will learn from
the experience

Cirencester Town. Mark has suffered from one
or two bad injuries over the last couple of
seasons but is now back to full fitness, and
looking to establish a place in the side for the
final three months of the season. He is a right
sided player and can play either at full back or
pushing forward into midfield, strong in the
tackle and a good distributor of the ball.

Supermarine, Bashley, Cinderford Town,

Profile: Ian began his career at Swindon
Athletic where he scored the winning goal in a
Wiltshire Senior Cup semi-final. Swindon
Athletic was the club that amalgamated with
Supermarine in 1992. He returned to the club in
the summer of 2004 from Weston-super-Mare
as player / assistant manager to Mark Collier.
He is a very experienced defender having
played all of his football since those early days
in the Southern League. He has a very good left
foot and distributes well out of defence. Ian has
also gained his coaching badges which allowed
him to coach in the USA during the summer of
2004.

with good distribution out of defence. He will
always look to get forward to support the
forward players with runs down the right flank.

Previous Clubs: Gloucester City, Cirencester
Town, Hungerford Town,
Profile: Steve signed from Gloucester City
having previously been with neighbours
Cirencester Town. He is our second longest
serving player and was signed in the summer of
2001/02. This was our first season in the
Southern League and he has only missed a
couple of games since then. He played a
leading role in our escape from relegation in
those first two seasons with some excellent
performances and has continued that form in
every season since. Steve is very accomplished
and versatile player with a sweet left foot, not
afraid to battle it out with the best. He is an
excellent crosser of the ball from out wide and
has an exceptional long throw that sets up
many attacking chances. He is an accomplished
player in a number of positions. Last season he
was playing up front and in midfield as well as a
defensive position but he is now established as
a central defender where many believe is his
best position.

Previous Clubs: Burnham, Salisbury City,
Andover Town, Newbury Town, Devizes Town,
Swindon Athletic, Penhill FC
Profile: Roger is a very experienced defender
having spent many seasons at this and a higher
level of football with Salisbury City. He began
his senior career in the 1984/85 season with
Penhill before they changed their name to
Swindon Athletic. He then moved to Devizes
Town before returning to Swindon Athletic for a
season. He then moved to Salisbury for over
ten seasons before signing for Burnham where
he was also assistant manager to Steve Mellor.
He returned to play in Swindon in December
2004. He is an uncompromising and dominant
figure at the heart of the defence and equally at
home going forward for set pieces. He is very
strong in the air and reads the game extremely
well. He proved a good asset for the team last
season as he struck up a good partnership with
firstly Steve Davies then Steve Bennett. His
experience helped the younger players in the
side and the manager is pleased this will
continue in the 2005/06 season as Roger
committed himself to the club for another year.

Previous Clubs: Wootton Bassett Town
Profile: Steve signed for Supermarine from
Wootton Bassett Town in the 1998/99 season
and he has progressed into a quality player
since then. He was a member of our Hellenic
Premier Division championship side in 2000/01.
He is another player who possesses an
excellent left foot and is very good in the air.
Starting the 2004/05 season in defence, where
his distribution was exceptional at times and he
was solid in the tackle. These attributes helped
Mark Collier to decide that a midfield role would
improve Steve's all round game and be more
beneficial to the team. He played the latter part
of the 2004/05 season in midfield and he played
very well in this position. A very popular player
at the club and now into his fifth Southern
League season he has gained a lot of
experience. Steve continues to progress and
has a very bright future in football. With a
number of clubs, including Dorchester Town,
after his services during the summer it was
pleasing to see Steve sign for another year.

Previous Clubs: Cinderford Town, Gloucester
City
Profile: Steve signed for the club from
Gloucester City towards the end of the 2003/04
season and has proved a terrific signing for the
club. He is strong in the tackle with good
technique, uncompromising and a player who is
comfortable with the ball at his feet. He reads
the game very well and although equally at
home at either in defence or midfield he prefers
to play in midfield. His distribution is more
notable in this position and complements his
previous attributes. He is another player who
was touted by many clubs during his time at
Supermarine but we very pleased to have
secured his signature for this 2005/06 season.

Forest Green Rovers
Profile:
Danny
previously
played
at
Supermarine in the late 90's when he was
playing for our Academy side before embarking
on a five-year spell with Forest Green Rovers.
During his time at Rovers he played in the
Southern League with Paulton Rovers on loan.
He then signed for Rovers last season although
he left the club after Christmas to join FA Vase
winners Didcot Town. Equally at home at fullback or in midfield Danny is a good all round
player with loads of ability. Predominately a left
sided player he always looks to keep the ball on
the floor and play a passing game. Good in the
tackle and not afraid to let fly from around the
box, particularly from free kicks.

Previous Clubs: Chippenham Town, Westonsuper-Mare, Cirencester Town, W.B.A.
Profile: Giles is a hard working midfielder with
an abundance of Southern League experience
for one so young. He enjoys nothing better than
supporting the attack and scoring the odd goal
or two. He is also adept at getting from box to
box to assist both the front line and defence.
Played a major in the clubs Southern League
survival with a number of important goals in the
2002/03 season, none more important that the
third at Bromsgrove Rovers on the last day.
Another excellent performance in the 2003/04
season when he chipped in with eleven goals
and saw him become club captain in November
2003. Injury curtailed last season when after
coming off in the opening game it wasn't until
Christmas that he made a return to first team
action. Last season was slightly disappointing
as Giles struggled to find the excellent form of
the previous two seasons due to that injury.
This summer it looked as though he was off to
another a club but after a rethink its pleasing to
report he has now decided to sign for the
2005/06 season.

Previous Clubs: Witney United, Purton, Forest
Green Rovers, Swindon Town
Profile: A close season signing from Witney
United where he played for just one season
after signing from Purton. Before that Mitchell
was with Swindon Town's school of excellence.
His movement around the pitch is very good
and he is quick about the field. Although small
in stature Mitchell makes up for this with his
strong determination, effort and tremendous
work rate, always looking to keep defenders on
their toes and hassling them into mistakes. An
excellent pre-season saw him score five goals
in as many games.

Town, Tuffley Rovers (loan)
Profile: Nathan was previously with Swindon
Town before he was released in 2003 and went
straight into the Chippenham Town squad for
their 2003/04 season. In January 2004 he
signed for the club on a month's loan from
Chippenham which was extended for a total of
three months before a recurring injury stopped
him playing the last month of that 2003/04
season. During the pre-season of 2004 he
decided to move to Premier Division neighbours
Cirencester Town and kicked off the season
with them before he spent a short period on
loan at Tuffley Rovers. He was then signed from
Tuffley in October 2004 and made his seasonal
debut at Corby Town where he grabbed an
equalising goal and was instrumental in our 2-1
victory. Nathan is an excellent distributor of the
ball with good passing skills. Always at the heart
of things as he possess a good engine that gets
him from box to box. He is a very creative
player who can score the odd goal or two.

excellent goal on his pre-season debut against
Banbury United, a cracking shot from 23-yards.
He possesses great stamina and will run for
ever, always looking to support his team mates
with his high work rate. He is skilful on the ball
and is always looking to go past his markers.
He is another young player who will be pushing
the more senior players for a starting place.

a number of months. Jeremy plays on the left
side of midfield and will always look to get
forward and support the front line. He possess a
sweet left foot coupled with a good delivery
which when combined create a number of good
openings and opportunities to score, especially
from set pieces. After just one game at
Mangotsfield United he returned to Newbury to
finish the season with them before returning to

Previous Clubs: Swindon Town
Profile: Originally signed in March 2005 from
Swindon Town for a month’s loan where he has
progressed through the academy and youth
system. He was a prolific goalscorer in the
Town youth team and played a few games for
the Town reserves before coming to us for that
work experience. He came off the bench to
score the equalising goal on his debut at
championship chasing Evesham United last
season and then scored a vital winning goals
against Bracknell Town and Stourport Swifts.
After being released by Swindon Town in the
summer he joined Gloucester City but after
scoring a number of goals for them in the preseason friendlies he was unable to gain regular
football so he decided to move to Hunts Copse
at the start of October 2005.

Highworth Town, Wantage Town, Westonsuper-Mare, Southampton and Oxford United.
Profile: JP signed for the club for a second time
in March 2006 after returning from Australia and
spending a brief spell with Chippenham Town.
He previously signed for the club in January
2005 from neighbours Highworth Town and
48hrs later scored on his debut at Mangotsfield
United. JP, as he is known, came to fruition at
Swindon Town before signing for Southampton.
After being released from the Saints he had
short stays at a number of cubs before kicking
the 2004/05 season off at Wantage Town
before a move to Highworth before a couple of
months and then subsequently another move to
Supermarine in January. Just six games later
he left for Perth, Australia and spent 11 months
with Floreat Athena who are in the Western
Australia State Premier Division. JP is a
tenacious and hard working player who will
always give 100%. He is a good passer of the
ball with great vision, preferring to play in
midfield where he can come on to the play and
set up the opportunities for the forwards. He will
also look to get forward to contribute with the
odd goal or two.

Profile: Previously with neighbours Highworth
Town Neil spent all last season in the treatment
room after surgery to repair his cruciate
ligament. Having slowly got back in training he
has gradually got back to a level of fitness that
allowed him to play some part in a number of
our pre-season friendlies. Neil is determined to
get back to full fitness and we are hopeful this is
only a month or so away as he will be a great
asset to the team. He is an excellent target man
and will give the management team other
options when he returns. He is very quick, agile
and is excellent in the air. He’s also technically
good on the ball and a good goalscorer.

Previous Clubs: Purton, Chippenham Town,
Swindon Athletic
Profile: Mark is a former centre forward with
Swindon Athletic before the amalgamation with
Supermarine in 1992. He is now enjoying a
coaching role with Swindon Town along with his
second full season at the club as manager.
Originally settled in as assistant to Tommy
Saunders after his appointment in January 2004
but after just eight games he was promoted to
manager after Tommy resigned. A difficult
season last term with the threat of relegation
over the final four months of the season finally
lifted with two games to play. His side finished
last season with a win over Ashford Town who
scrapped into a play-off place by an advantage
of one goal over Brackley Town. The highlight
of the season came from a 1-0 victory at the
County Ground over a strong Swindon Town
side in the Wiltshire Premier Shield. Mark is
looking forward to another tough season,
although with a little more optimism as the side
looks to put last season’s disappointments
behind them.

Profile: Ryo has been playing football since he

teams before eventually becoming vice-captain
of his high-school football team. The team
played in the national tournament of Japan
where the team reached the quarter-finals. After
high-school Ryo went to University to study
medicine and was captain of the University
team. They not only won a national tournament
but also the East Japan title and were Kanto
regional champions on four occasions. He then
left Japan to continue his studies in England at
the University of Bath. In July he wrote to the
club asking for a trial and subsequently
demonstrated he's ability in a few pre-season
friendlies. Unfortunately it took until September
before the club received his international
clearance and he was able to play in the
Southern League. Ryo will be looking to
