Chair and Chief Executive message about our

LAUNCH OF OUR CLINICAL SERVICES STRATEGY
We’re delighted to announce the launch of our refreshed Clinical Services Strategy.
The development of our Clinical Services Strategy has been led by our clinicians to ensure that we can
continue to provide the very best care – and sustainable care – to our patients, now and into the
future.
Since our last strategy was published in 2013, we have faced growing demands on our healthcare
system. Our doctors, nurses and frontline teams want to provide great care and whilst we, like every
other NHS provider, face the challenge of growing communities with increasing healthcare needs, we
want to discuss with you how we will continue to provide the best quality care we can.
Our Clinical Services Strategy aims to ensure that our facilities at King George Hospital and Queen’s
Hospital are sustained to provide excellent care that will meet the needs of our communities for
many years to come. We are committed to working with local authorities, patients and health
partners to ensure that we support healthcare services across north east London. We are committed
to working with local care providers to improve out of hospital care; so that we make sure our
patients are seen in the right place for their condition and treated at the right time.
Whilst our clinicians and staff have been leading this piece of work, we see it as vital that we share
our strategy with you, because ultimately working in partnership with our patients and community is
the cornerstone in making sure we provide seamless care to our patients across primary, secondary
and social care.
We welcome your comments and input on our Clinical Services Strategy, which will help us to achieve
our vision of providing outstanding healthcare to our communities, delivered with Pride.
Any comments can be sent to Richard Pennington or Fiona Peskett.
Best wishes
