Eventually this test will reMs. Rita place the Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) currently given to students in grades currently 2-8. MAP are achievement tests designed to measure growth in student learning. What makes the MAP test unique is that it is a computer based assessment which adapts and analyzes the student’s response and will select the next question depending on the child’s understanding of the concept. An added benefit is that the results are provided in a timely manner to aid in instruction within the classroom. Score results break down each broad category into specific skills and show the student’s relative strengths and areas of improvement. Parents of students in grades 3 and 6 will receive further communication regarding the pilot assessment in the coming week. Additional information regarding the MAP assessment can be found at the following website: http://www.nwea.org/ Curriculum News Are you looking for the perfect book? Check out these reading lists!
