RACE FOR LIFE
Money must be in by Tuesday 15 March.
£5 minimum to donate to Cancer Research UK and
participate in the event on Thursday 24 March
periods 6 and 7.
If no money is submitted then students will remain in school
for the afternoon.
Money and forms will be collected during My Time on
Tuesday 15 March.
LONDON TRIP
 A reminder that deposits are due - there are still a couple
of pupils who need to pay.
 Please see Mr Martin as soon as possible.
 There will be a meeting for all pupils going on the trip on
Tuesday lunchtime in Mr Martin's room.
 This meeting is about assigning you rooms in the hotel,
so if you attend, you have a better chance of getting put
in a room with your friends!
 Anyone who can’t attend must see Mr Martin.

S4/S5 Biology Field Trip to Rum
Could all pupils who have applied for the Rum Field trip
please attend a short meeting in Mrs Girling’s room on

ARCHERY
This week will be the last week of archery for the year and we
will be having an end of year competition
on Wednesday after school in the Games Hall
S1 Sailing
Could any S1 pupils interested in taking part
in a free sailing course on Monday evenings
from April to June
please attend a meeting at 1.30 pm on Thursday 17 March
in Mrs Girling’s room.
Argyll and Bute Dance Festival is on Friday 18 March
Oban High School pupils competing should bring a packed
lunch as the competition times do not correlate with our
lunch times and you will not be allowed to leave school.
S1 and S2 pupils are out of class all day.
S3 - S6 pupils should report to the PE Dept at 11.30 am.
S3 Duke of Edinburgh
 Could all pupils attend a short meeting at interval in the
Assembly Hall on Friday 18 March, ahead of Saturday
training.
 Make sure you bring your consent forms if you have not
yet returned them.
Gymnastics
All squad members need to hand in their leotards
to the PE base as soon as possible
REPEATED NOTICES
S1/2 SUMMER SHINTY
We are looking for clan teams in S1 and S2 to play in Summer Shinty
at Mossfield.
We need any interested students to sign up in PE
with Mr Hamilton.
That is current S1 or S2 students who would like to represent their
clan at Shinty.
All players are welcome and you don’t have to play for a club, you
don’t even need to have equipment! ALL PLAYERS WELCOME!!!
BEGINNERS OR ANY STANDARD!
Clan points will be awarded for participation and results of games.
ALL PUPILS MUST USE THEIR CASHLESS CATERING
CARDS TO PAY FOR FOOD AND DRINKS IN THE CANTEEN.
PUPILS WHO DO NOT HAVE CARDS ARE SLOWING UP THE
QUEUES AND CAUSING UNNECESSARY DELAYS.
Stationery Shop is now open in the library at lunch time.
You can buy pencils for 10p as well as lots of other
stationery items.
Study packs containing 10 items can be bought for £2.
USED POSTAGE STAMPS
Could all pupils save their stamps.
These can be sent to help the Guide Dog Association.
The Support Department will collect them
from the office.
Stamps of all kinds should be cut off envelopes with
1 cm border.
JOAN’S LUNCH CLUB
Mondays 1.20 pm in the Ossian/Fingal classroom
Games/Chat – All Welcome!
Supported Study for National 5/Higher English has begun on
Monday after school between 3.45 - 4.45 pm.
This will take place every other week.
Pupils are welcome to drop in for 5-10 minutes for quick help,
or can stay the whole time.
This will take place in Mr Stringer’s room.
Basketball
Mondays 4.00 - 5.00 pm for Girls S1-S6
in small games hall
Tuesdays 4.00 - 5 .00 pm for Boys S1 – S6
in the main games hall.

KIDS’ LIT QUIZ
Quiz Club is on WEDNESDAY LUNCHTIMES
(feel free to being your lunch) in Miss McIntosh’s room (E4)
for pupils who want to part in the Kids’ Lit Quiz.
The Kids’ Lit Quiz is an international competition
that celebrates reading!
You must be aged between 11 – 13 to take part in the
competition.
Manga & Anime club is still on in E1
but has now moved to Wednesday lunchtimes

Maths NAT5 and Higher revision classes after school
every Wednesday and Thursday
Debating club now meets on a Thursday lunchtime
in E4 from 1.25 onwards
Traditional Music Session Club - Thursdays at 1.30 pm

Any pupil who plays a traditional instrument to any standard
can come along and play some tunes!
Volleyball
 Volleyball is on a Thursday 4.00 – 5.30 pm in the
Games Hall.
 There are coaches coming in to help run the club and
anyone is welcome.

 Super 6 - Guess the results of 6 matches for the weekend.
 Also come along and discuss the main issues of the week in
the world of football.

Teen Aid
 Teen Aid is a confidential drop in service in Market Street (beside
Kwikfit) for young people to seek advice for any aspect of their
health they are worried about.
 There is usually a doctor and nurse available to talk with you and
offer you support and information.
 No appointments needed – just turn up!
