(Monday 16th to Thursday 19th September)
All forms and relevant subscriptions should be submitted in a sealed envelope. Please note that the
membership subscription for each registered player is €55.00 for the season.

players registered with the team in question.
First Captains Meeting:
The first captains meeting will be held in the Red Room, Student Centre on Tuesday 24th September
at 6.00p.m. Captains/Representatives of all teams intending to join the league must be in
attendance at that meeting as the first set of fixtures will be held on Saturday 28th/Sunday 29th
September.
Fixtures:
Fixtures, tables and all the latest news are available on the Clubs website, www.ucdsoccer.com
Please note that there will be midweek fixtures and all teams must make themselves available.
Pitches:
Where possible, a decision will be made regarding the playability on a Friday evening. However,
there will be circumstances where the pitches are playable on a Friday but unfortunately due to
overnight rain, may not be playable on Saturday/Sunday. In this regard, team captains can ring the
Sports Centre at 01 7163839 or 01 7163821 on Friday/Saturday/Sunday to find out the position
regarding pitches.
Cancellation:
Please note that all teams must request a cancellation of a fixture at least ten days in advance of the
appointed fixture in question. All requests should be made by e-mail to the Superleague e-mail
address, [email protected] . All requests for postponement of fixtures will be considered
on their merits on an individual basis. Any cancellation requested after that may NOT be granted.
This rule will be strictly enforced this season and it is unfair both to the people running the league,
members of the opposition and the referees for matches to be cancelled at the last minute.
Gear/Footballs:
All teams must provide their own set of uniform jerseys together with at least one regulation
football. UCD AFC is sponsored by O’Neills and as part of this partnership, Superleague players
will be entitled to reductions on all gear and football equipment necessary to take part in the
Superleague.
ALL ORDERS FOR GEAR MUST BE MADE BY THE FIRST CAPTAIN’S MEETING. A
DEPOSIT OF €40.00 MUST ACCOMPANY ALL ORDERS.
PLEASE NOTE THAT TEAMS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO COMMENCE MATCHES
UNTIL SUCH A TIME AS THEY HAVE: 


Ordered gear/footballs or have satisfied the league that they already have an acceptable set
of jerseys and at least one size 5 leather football of acceptable quality.
Insurance:
The UCD Superleague as an official league run by the UCD Soccer Club, is covered under the UCD
Athletic Union Council’s Personal Accident insurance for UCD sports club members engaged in
sporting activities with their UCD clubs. Club members should be made aware that this policy is
designed to provide a basic and limited level of cover for medical expenses in the event that
they are injured whilst engaged in sporting activities with their UCD club.





The first €500 medical expenses incurred by the club member are not covered by this policy,
and the policy will only pay out a maximum of €5,000 to any one person in a year.
Dental expenses will only be covered up to a maximum payout of €1,500 per member in any
one year, again with the first €500 cost being paid by the club member.
The maximum number of physiotherapy visits that can be claimed for by any one person in
a year is six, again with the first €500 being paid by the club member.
It is not a health insurance programme and it does not cover any loss of earnings that may be
incurred following any injury nor will it cover the full cost of any surgery if required
following serious injury.
A limited payout is provided by the policy in the event of death, total disablement or loss of
sight, speech or limbs.
Players are strongly advised to consult the terms and conditions of the cover to ensure that it is
adequate for their needs. Please be advised that only bonafide registered Superleague players are
covered under this scheme.
N.B. In the case of any injuries sustained while playing in a Superleague, a team representative or
the match referee must call 01 7162121 to report the injury.
Dressing Rooms:
All pitches will be served by the Sports Centre dressing rooms. Teams are once again reminded not
to leave valuables in the dressing rooms but to use the lockers provided in the Sports Centre or to
bring valuables out onto the pitch.
Referees:
The referee’s match fee for the Superleague will be €42.00. Each team must pay the referee €21.00
each.
Sending Off:
Please note that any player sent off the field of play is automatically suspended for the next match.
If, in the opinion of the Superleague Committee, the sending off merits a further suspension and/or
fine, then the captain of the team in question will be notified as to the length of the suspension. Any
team that plays while having a suspended player will be dealt with severely by the Superleague
Committee. Failure of teams to pay fines will result in the forfeiture of fixtures until the fine is paid.
