PreKindergarten at Valley Oaks Elementary for
NEXT SCHOOL YEAR 2015-2016
Do you have a child who will be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2015?
If so, you need to get on the list for Pre-K at Valley Oaks.
January 6 – 29 Parents sign up child for lottery. We have two Pre-K classes at Valley Oaks for
24 students each. If we have more than 48 students signed up to come to Pre-K at Valley Oaks, we
will have a lottery drawing. The lottery is for children who live in the VOE attendance area ONLY.
Please bring proof of residence with you at sign up – mortgage statement, tax bill or apartment lease
AND a utility bill. If the prospective Pre-K student has a sibling currently attending Valley Oaks (and is
not a 5th grader or transfer student), s/he will be given priority on the list to be in a Pre-K class. All
others will participate in the lottery drawing. You MUST come in to add your child’s name to the Pre-K
Lottery List in order to reserve a spot for the 2015-2016 school year.
January 14th @ 8:00 a.m. – PRE-K Round-up!!!

Lottery Drawing at 10:00 a.m. in the front office, if necessary.
February 2 - 27
Notification to those on list and to lottery winners to complete Pre-Registration process.
$50 Registration fee is required unless the child qualifies for PK tuition assistance ***
March 2
Parents of children on waiting list contacted for pre-registration
March 2 – 31
Parents of children on waiting list may pre-register
All parents MUST return in mid-August to complete final registration.
Full day Pre-K is from 7:30-2:30 at VOE. The Pre-K program is tuition based unless the child is
eligible for tuition assistance.
