GET BACK UP!
This will be our message to the team this week. Football is a great representation of real life in many
ways. It’s hard, it takes teamwork to be successful and thing don’t always go according to plan. But it also
teaches you to GET BACK UP when things don’t go your way and that will be what this team must do this
week.
Thank you to everyone that helped in picking up and delivering pre-game meals to our sub-varsity

Our sub varsity teams will have a chance to order a sandwich each week for a pregame meal. The
meal usually fluctuates between $5 - $6 each week. We ask the kids to sign up and pay each week if they
would like a pregame meal. They will sign up with the coach above each week.
If you haven’t already please sign up for Remind 101 to get updates about our teams and changes in
our schedule. You can find the Remind 101 app in the app store and you will text @gtdna to the number
81010 – you then will be in our remind group for updates.
Cedar Creek HS does not have a sophomore team. Because of some injuries that we have we
will not be looking for a separate soph. game this week, our JV Blue team will suit up with our JV Silver
team when we play Cedar Creek. We will start that game at the GISD AC at 6:00pm. ** the JV Blue team’s
practice this week will mirror the JV Silver’s practice schedule.
Quick reminder – our open date will be next week Oct 24- 28th. Our plans are to practice after school during
that week Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. There will be no practice after school on Monday and Friday
during our open week.
Also a reminder that this coming Friday is the end of the 9 week grading period and it is a time where our
athletes can LOSE and REGAIN eligibility. Please help us reiterate to you sons their grades must be a priority
this week – NO ZEROS!
Monday – morning (BOOSTER NIGHT at 6:30pm in the classroom)
Varsity – watching film 7:55am; JV Blue – dressed and ready 8:30am; JV Silver – dressed and ready at 8:30am; Freshman on time
for school at 8:40am.
Afternoon - Varsity, JV Silver and JV Blue – practice from 4:25 – 6:25; ready to be picked up by 6:40.
Freshman – study hall from 2:43- 3:10 – Practice 3:20 – 5:30pm. White Team ready for pickup – 5:40pm Blue Team – lift weights –
ready for pick up at 6:15pm
Tuesday – morning

Afternoon - Varsity – Special Forces meeting as soon as schools out – then team meal at 5:15pm
JV Blue and JV Silver – report to the field house as soon as school is out (pregame meal will be available if you signed up for one)
Game time is 6:00pm at the GISD AC only one game – both team will suit up together – ready for pickup from the field house
around 8:30pm.
Freshman – buses leave at 3:30pm - (pregame meal will be available if you signed up for one)
Freshman White Team - Game time is 5:30pm at Cedar Creek HS – we expect to be back in Georgetown around 10:30pm.
Freshman Blue Team - Game time is as soon at White Team is finished at Cedar Creek HS – we expect to be back in Georgetown

Friday morning – GAME DAY! Varsity wear your UA Friday shirt
Varsity – Breakfast with Champions at 8:30am JV Blue – dressed and ready 8:30am; JV Silver – dressed and ready at 8:30am;
Freshman on time for school at 8:40am
JV Silver & JV Blue – no practice after school.
Freshman – lift and watch game film - practice over at 4:10 – you will be able to ride the bus if you need to.
Varsity game is at Memorial Stadium in Bastrop (not Cedar Creek HS) at 7:30pm – Report to the field house AFTER Eagle time/
start of last period. Our buses will leave at 3:30pm – if you want a pre-game meal this week you will need to sign up with coach
Bond – sandwiches will be $6.00. We expect to be back in Georgetown around 11:30pm. We will feed you after the game.
