POSITION:
Player Development Manager

Reports directly to: Director of Marketing
Location: Gaming Division

STANDARD QUALIFICATIONS:
All employees of North Star Mohican Casino Resort must meet the following qualifications.
1. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Mohican Nation Gaming License.
2. Must submit to a Criminal Investigation Background Check (CIB).
3. Must have an acceptable attendance record.
4. Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug screening and health screening.
5. Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays.
STANDARD DUTIES:
1. Must attend all training provided by North Star Mohican Casino Resort.
2. Must adhere to all established rules, regulations, procedures and policies of North Star Mohican
Casino Resort and the Marketing Department.
3. Must participate in employee random drug testing program.
4. Must be able to work with a variety of people with diverse personalities.
5. Must attend all meetings, as assigned.
6. Must dress professionally.
7. Must be reliable and prompt when reporting to work.
8. Must maintain compliance with all workplace policies, procedures, ordinances, laws and other
communicated expectations, including and not limited to: Employment Handbook, Gaming
Ordinance, State Gaming Compact, Minimum Internal Controls, Department Procedures, memos
and other communications from supervisory or regulatory personnel.
9. All other assigned duties.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. High School Diploma or GED is required.
2. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or hospitality related field is required.
May qualify with a combination of 5 years experience in marketing related field.

1. North Star Mohican Casino Resort is looking for a courteous and friendly individual.
2. Must have three years of successful management experience in marketing and/or in the
hospitality/customer service field.
3. Previous successful experience is required in setting goals, developing strategies and schedules for
meeting goals and anticipating obstacles and alternative strategies.
4. Event planning, short and long term planning experience is required.
5. Previous training or one year experience in accounting principles is required. Must be able to read
and understand financial statements.
6. Must have two years working experience with personal computers.
7. Excellent customer/client relation skills are required. This will require the individual to be able to
deal with the general public and employees with tact, courtesy and respect.
8. Ability to plan, organize and establish priorities efficiently and effectively is required.
9. Excellent oral and written communications skills are required. Must have ability to deal
effectively with diverse and challenging situations.
10. Must have exceptional organizational skills.
11. Must possess a valid Wisconsin driver’s license, be willing to travel and have insured
transportation. Must meet the insurability guidelines of Mohican Nation Insurance.
12. Must possess a management style advocating the team concept. Must be a team player and have
the ability to work under strict deadlines.
13. Must maintain a professional attitude at all times.
14. Must have demonstrated ability to maintain satisfactory working record in any prior or current
employment.
DUTIES:
1. Manage the player development area of North Star Mohican Casino Resort.
2. Develop a short and long term plan and create a player development plan.
3. Establish, maintain and facilitate effective working relationships, communication processes and
activities with all player development personnel, internal and external customers.
4. Work closely with marketing staff and other departments in establishing positive results in player
development area to include a tracking system that provides timely feedback regarding service
quality, service delivery, customer expectations, customer demand and customer unmet needs.
5. Assess and analyze all work performance activities for the purposes of continually improving the
player development area. Establish performance measures for all activities of player development
operations. Ensure player development personnel understand their duties and responsibilities and
have the resources available to carry them out.
6. Generate motivation of staff to increase interest of high quality players in attending promotional
activities.
7. Ensure established policies and procedures and departmental operating procedures are utilized at
all times. Conduct regular departmental staff meetings to provide communication to staff to
ensure successful management of all hospitality efforts.
8. Conduct on-going research and studies to develop new marketing areas.
9. Implement technology and complete customer surveys to track market business trends.
10. Report survey analysis and offer suggestions to appropriate staff to initiate and complete changes
based on research.
11. Develop and maintain complimentary programs for appropriate players.
12. Develop and oversee responses to customers on complaints. Forward complaints to appropriate
areas and maintain complaint log.
13. Maintain a log of all complimentary items given to customers.

14. Provide direction in forecasting market driven packages, develop criteria for direct mailings and
provide tools to assist marketing staff with the development plan.
15. Provide on-going reports to appropriate management staff and make recommendations as needed.
16. Work closely with the marketing staff and other areas to develop weekly, monthly and quarterly
promotions.
17. Work with marketing staff and appropriate management staff to develop and monitor budget for
the player development areas.
18. Directly supervise assigned marketing personnel.
