Easy-soft-pretzels Ingredients 1. 1 tablespoon dry active yeast 2. 1 1/3 cups of warm water 3. 1 tablespoon of sugar 4. ½ teaspoon of salt 5. 3 ½ to 4 cups all-purpose flour 6. 1 egg 7. 1 tablespoon of water 8. 2 tablespoon of course salt Directions 1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees 2. Grease two large baking sheets (or cover with parchment paper) 3. In a large bowl sprinkle yeast over the warm water (water should be very warm to touch) stir until yeast is dissolved 4. With a wooden spoon gradually stir in sugar, salt and 3 ½ cups of flour until soft and slightly sticky dough forms. 5. Turn dough onto a well-floured board to kneed fold dough towards you; with the heels of your hands push the dough away with short rocking motions. Rotate the dough a quarter turn and repeat motion 6. Cut the dough in half and then cut each half into six equal sized pieces. With floured hands roll one piece of dough between the palms of hands to form a dough rope. Continue rolling and stretching the dough rope until 15in long. 7. Continue with others. In a small bowl mix together one egg and water, brush on pretzel. Sprinkle on salt. 8. Bake 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Interesting facts 1. Platano Forest was nominated as one of the new Seven Wonders of the World. 2. They have no volcanoes, and only one natural lake. 3.
