INTRODUCTION
COURSE FACULTY
It is well-known that any scientific investigation / study
requires one or more branches of mathematics. Over
the past few years, almost every subject has started
utilizing mathematical tools, as mathematics gives a
precise way of formulating and analyzing a problem to
make logical conclusions.
Prof. Inder K. Rana is a faculty member at the
Department of Mathematics, I.I.T. Bombay since 1986.
He has been organizing Workshops in Mathematics for
TY BA/BSc students for the last ten years.
This course aims to strengthen the mathematical
foundations of students of Economics, Commerce, and
Management. The topics to be covered are Calculus
and Linear Algebra. The stress of the course will be on
building the concepts and their applications.
