By playing fall ball only, the players are able to compete as long as they remain (college) students, and then transfer to the university or college level with 4 years of lacrosse eligibility remaining. In addition, as the first legitimate California community college lacrosse program, we also are promoting the sport at the community college level and have reached out to other community colleges encouraging and offering to aid in their efforts to establish similar club programs. When the (mascot name) compete, they play to win, and the club’s intent is to showcase (college) talent and forge strong relationships with the universities and 4-year colleges with whom we compete. Description of position The intercollegiate Lacrosse Club team at (college) is seeking two coaches: one coach with experience teaching and coaching defense and one coach with experience teaching and coaching offense. The hiring committee will determine which coach will be considered the “head” coach. The position is to begin ASAP and extend through December 15th. Practices are scheduled on Monday and Wednesday, and possibly Thursday evenings from 6:30 p.m. – 9:45 p.m. Fall ball intercollegiate games may also be scheduled on Monday and Wednesday evenings, as well as Friday evenings and weekends. It is anticipated that the club will schedule approximately 16 games, inclusive of both home and away contests and tournaments. Players and coaches are expected to maintain a professional decorum at all times, honoring the sport, our opponents, the officials, the college and its representatives, and ourselves.
