GET TO KNOW ME
BASEBALL
 I like baseball and play for Poco and
have been playing since I was 7.
TOUCH
The vibrations of the bat sting when the bat connects to the ball. The wet muddy
ground splashes when I sprint towards first base. The cold water splashes into my ankle.
When the first baseman gets ready to field the ball he steps into the baseline. I run into
the first baseman deliberately and knock him into the damp but rough ground.
SIGHT
The pitchers tall fit form intimidates some of the players, his fastball looked like
it was at least 60mph. When he threw the white ball that had a smudge of reddish
brown on it from the dirt our runner stole second, the shorter fatter catcher threw
the ball to the left handed slim short stop.
SOUND
 The loud ping from the bat could be heard from all around the baseball diamond, the
crowd cheered as the ball went over the centre fielders head and made a ding noise as it
hit the fence. Our coach was yelling at the player to come to third. As he slid into third
he made a thump sound when he hit the ground and grunted. As well as crows cawing on
the open field beside us
SMELL
 The smell of the field was crisp and the air smelt of fish and chips from the pajos at
the stadium. The dugout smelt like A535 and bubble gum from the players. As well as
a faint smell of sweat.
TASTE
As I’m chewing some salted sunflower seeds I noticed that they have a weird
texture, and taste earthy I realize that its dirt. I start coughing and get the horrible
taste of phlegm in my mouth
