THE WYSL PRESENTS:The SPRING 2015 U8
FESTIVAL
sponsored by
The U8 Festival utilizes small sided fields and game format
which allows for many more touches on the ball, increased
playing time, and more fun for our players. The extensive
positive feedback we received from our online survey
underlined the positive impacts the festival format had on
our teams in general.
This change has been welcomed by parents of children
across the WYSL. Sara was one mother who enjoyed
seeing her child play in this environment:
"I thought the whole day was fantastic. It was great to see
my child play in this environment, she touched the ball more
than she would normally do and just seemed to enjoy
playing the game much more - As a parent I really enjoyed
seeing the UK Elite trainers coach my child through the
games, helping her when she needed it."
The tournament was not just a hit with parents, WYSL
President Julian DiDonato also enjoyed the event:
"This is really something special, number one it's fun. The
kids have a great time all in one place playing, getting a lot
of touches on the ball. We really appreciate UK Elite
organising the event, it's a way to really advance soccer at
this age."
