How do I replace the
PUREOXYGEN Capsule?
After preparing 5-10 bottles of wine,
the Pressure Indication Pin will recede
into the Down position, indicating that
the PUREOXYGEN Capsule is empty.
To replace the empty capsule, simply
follow the steps in Preparing Your
Oxygenator. Discard the empty
PUREOXYGEN Capsule, including
the Adaptor.
How do I know if my Wine Oxygenator is working?
When a functioning Wine Oxygenator is placed into
a bottle of wine, you will observe a gentle frothing
at the top of the bottle. The larger bubbles
contribute to the gentle circulation of the
micro-bubbles, which oxygenates the wine. With
some lighter-colored bottles, you may also see
micro-bubbles near the Oxygen Micro-diffuser.
TROUBLESHOOTING
What do I do if the Pressure
Indication Pin is Down but
I cannot unscrew the
Rear Cap?
Continue to pull the Latch down
while rocking the Rear Cap back
and forth until the ratcheted
locking mechanism releases,
allowing you to unscrew the
rear cap.
What do I do if the oxygen isn’t flowing?
If the capsule is empty, the Pressure Indicator Pin will
be recessed. Refer to “How do I replace the
PUREOXYGEN Capsule” section.
If the Pressure Indicator Pin is Up but oxygen isn’t
flowing, you may need to tighten the Oxygen
Micro-diffuser.

Once you have engaged PUREOXYGEN Capsule in device, do not
attempt to remove until Pressure Indicator Pin is in Down position,
allowing you to push the Release Latch down.
Examine outside of PUREOXYGEN Capsule for LARGE dents,
scraped paint or a loose cap before using. If you notice any of
these signs, please do not use and contact customer service for
a replacement PUREOXYGEN Capsule.

Look at your Activation Ring to see if it was left in the
ON position. If it was, turn the Activation Ring to the
OFF position, and replace your capsule.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Your Velv Oxygenator should be stored in its protective case to
protect it from dirt or damage.

Do not store on or near a heater, or in any enclosed space.
Protect from sunlight. Never leave in automobile.

Do not remove Capsule Adaptor from PUREOXYGEN Capsule.
Adaptor is designed for single use only and must be disposed of
with the empty PUREOXYGEN Capsule.
The PUREOXYGEN Capsule and Adaptor are made of recyclable
metal. Please contact your local waste management agency for
instructions concerning disposal of empty O2 capsules. DO NOT
DISPOSE OF FULL O2 CAPSULES.

medical, or life-saving device, and intended solely for purposes of
wine oxygenation.

PREPARING YOUR OXYGENATOR

Pull latch down in direction of arrow.
Continue to hold the Latch while
unscrewing Rear Cap from Wine
Oxygenator body with other hand.
Uncork the bottle of wine you want to prepare.
When your timer reaches zero, turn the activation
ring to the OFF position, remove the Wine
Oxygenator from the bottle, and enjoy!
Insert a new PUREOXYGEN Capsule,
Adaptor first, into the top of the
Wine Oxygenator body.
NOTE: Each capsule contains enough
O2 to prepare 5-10 bottles of wine.

Pour one sip into a glass before inserting your
Wine Oxygenator. Save this glass for a taste
comparison after you have oxygenated your wine.

USING YOUR OXYGENATOR
Set the timer on your smartphone to the desired
time and start.
NOTE: We recommend 5-7 minutes for red wines, and 3-5 minutes
for whites.

Place the Rear Cap onto the Wine
Oxygenator body and screw it on.
Turning resistance will increase as
the capsule is pierced. You'll feel
the ratchet engage; turn quickly
and tightly. The Rear Cap will hit a
hardstop. When you’re finished,
the stripe on the Rear Cap and
body will be aligned.
To clean, rinse the Oxygen Micro-diffuser under
a faucet with cold water.
The Pressure Indication Pin will pop up, indicating that
your Wine Oxygenator is pressurized and ready to use.

NOTE: When the Pressure Indicator Pin is Up, do not try to unscrew
the Rear Cap. The Pressure Indicator Pin will retract when the capsule is
empty. When the Pressure Indicator Pin is in the Down position, it’s safe
to remove the Rear Cap and replace the capsule. If the Pin is not in the
Up position after piercing a new capsule, do not use and call Velv
Customer Care at 844.835.8946
STEP 4
Gently insert the Oxygen Micro-diffuser into the bottle
and turn the activation ring to the ON position.
NOTE: Do not place body or Rear Cap under water. If wet, dry
with a clean, soft cloth. NEVER PLACE IN DISHWASHER; MAY
CAUSE EXPLOSION.
