Brad has had many daring adventures and travelled widely in his role as the Lord Mayor of Bradford's official Mascot, but it fair to say that his liking for Ginger Nuts may mean he is not a front runner! Buzz Chameleon is determined to be towards the front as he has been training really hard and has mastered running with his cumbersome curly tail. Like espresso he’s got a shot so forego your latte today and back him with the £2 instead! 19: Neville the Devil (Andy Gardner) (Handicap Guide = seconds handicap) Entered By: Plymouth Devils Neville the Devil is the mascot of Plymouth Devils Speedway - the only speedway club In Devon and Cornwall! Neville keeps the crowd entertained and cheers on the riders every week during the spills and thrills of some of the countries best speedway racing. Neville keeps fit every week by running with the children around the track in the very popular Lollipop Lap. Sonny says: With speedway in his blood, regular circuit training and a “devil may care” attitude to his competitors this rogue may come good in the running! 20: Kieran (Handicap Guide C = 14 seconds handicap) (Richard Kettrick) Entered By: The Kier Group Kier Group plc is one of the top construction, services and property groups in the UK active in building and civil engineering, support services, public and private housebuilding, land development and the Private Finance Initiative. Our mascot Kieran travels to schools throughout the country with our Health & Safety crew giving talks to schoolchildren about the dangers of building sites. Sonny says: Looks like Kieran is bigger than a plane but can he use that size to “fly” down our track? In his “high vis” jacket and other safety gear he’ll certainly be easy to follow in the race if you back him. 21: Ronnie the Rhino (Handicap Guide C = 14 seconds handicap) (Gavin Russell) Entered By: Leeds Rhino’s Ronnie Rhino has been a huge part of Leeds Rhinos since making his debut in 1997. His match day antics have made him a crowd favourite and Headingley Carnegie is not the same without an appearance from Super League's best mascot. Sonny says: Ronnie is a seasoned campaigner at this event. He prefers soft going because of his thunderous hooves but is always in the mix at the finish line. Rumour is Leeds Rhino’s have been training him up so could this year be his year? 22: Avenue Arry (Paul Gibbon) (Handicap Guide C = 14 seconds handicap) Entered By: Bradford Park Avenue Juniors The official mascot of Bradford Park Avenue Juniors. Sonny says: A new competitor this year “Avenue Arry” has been hitting the “streets” in training for this event. 23: Lance (Handicap Guide B = 7 seconds handicap) (Steve Cheeseman) Entered By: Yorkshire Air Ambulance The YAA need to raise £9990.00 each and every day to continue saving lives across Yorkshire.
