When a match is called and a player is
missing the player is “on the clock” and
assessed a game penalty and loss of toss.
After every additional 5 minutes that
passes the player or doubles team is
assessed an additional game penalty.
After 15 minutes the player or doubles
team is DEFAULTED.

before starting the warm-up. The winner
may elect ONE of the following:

‘a player changing a call from Out
to Good SHALL LOSE THE
POINT. It makes no difference
whether the player returned the
ball in play or not.’

Only A PLAYER or their CAPTAIN
may request an Official to come to
their court.
A player may leave the court for no
more than 5 minutes to locate an
Official.

Bathroom breaks are allowed,
preferably between sets or at
changeover.
Obtain permission from an Official
prior to leaving the court.

The appropriate action in
response to confusion among
players or teams is to call an
official – to the court - to address
the players’ concerns.

The role of a Spectator is just
that.
Spectators are not to interfere with
a match or matches in progress.
It is the exclusive responsibility of
the players to make all line calls
and post the score.

No Coaching is permitted.
Therefore, no conversation
should take place between
players and spectators!!
Coaching violations are subject to
action under the Point Penalty
System.

‘Text messaging – sending or
receiving is prohibited (coaching).’

CODE VIOLATIONS will be penalized
by the roving Officials. Violations
include: visible or audible profanity,
racquet or ball abuse, coaching, any
un-sportsmanlike conduct.
The Point Penalty System applies to
violations (point, game, then default)

The Coman tiebreak procedure:
Change sides after the first serve,
and every fourth serve, i.e.,
change sides after serves 1, 5, 9,
13, etc.

Rest Periods
• Changeovers – 90 seconds
except after 1st game in a set.
• Set – 2 minutes, which must be
taken immediately upon set
completion.
• During tie-break – NONE, play is
continuous.
