INVITATION FOR TENDER
Date: 08/03/2017
1. This invitation for bid follows the general procurement notice for this project that
appeared in Development Business, issue no. 09th February, 2015.
2. The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania received the credit from the World
Bank under the Private Sector Competitiveness Project Credit No. 5326-TZ Project ID
No. P145971. The Government now intends to apply part of the joint proceeds for
Procurement of office furniture.
3. The Ministry of Lands Housing and Human Settlements Development now invites
sealed bid from eligible National Suppliers for Supply Office Furniture.
4. Tendering will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures
specified in the Public Procurement Regulations, 2013– Government Notice No.446
and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Regulations.
5. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding
Documents at the office of the Secretary, Ministerial Tender Board; Ministry of
Lands Housing and Human Settlements Development; of 1 Ardhi Street,
11477, P. O. Box 9132 Spill Building Room no. 04 Kivukoni Front Dar es
salaam from 9.00 to 1.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive except on public
holidays.
6. A complete set of Bidding Document(s) in English and additional sets may be
purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application letter to
the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable
fee of Fifty Thousand Tanzania Shillings only (Tshs 50,000). Payment should
either be by Cash, Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to Permanent
Secretary Ministry of Lands Housing and Human Settlements Development;
of 1 Ardhi Street, 11477, P. O. Box 9132 Spill Building Room no. 04 Kivukoni
Front Dar es salaam.
7. Bids must be accompanied by a bid securing declaration in the format provided in the
Bidding documents.
8. All bids in one original plus two copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain
envelopes must be delivered to the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Lands
Housing and Human Settlements Development; of 1 Ardhi Street, 11477, P.
O. Box 9132 Spill Building Room no. 04 Kivukoni Front Dar es salaam. At or
before 31st March, 2017 at 10.00 hours local time. Bids will be opened promptly
thereafter in public and in the presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to
attend in the opening ceremony at the Ministry of Lands conference room 6th Floor
located at Kivukoni Front.
9. Late Bids, Portion of Bids, Electronic Bids, Bids not received, Bids not opened and not
read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation
irrespective of the circumstances.
