9:45- Mesa Athletes will arrive at Zia. Zia student athletes will welcome Mesa as they

get off the bus (will be dropped off at parent pick-up on east side of the building) and
lead them to the gym.
10:00-10:15 (2nd-3rd Period)- “Fans in the Stands”- Zia students who are watching
to game get called to the gym.
o “Fans in the stands” options- PE classes only, any teachers who would like to

bring their students elective classes.
10:15-10:30- Pledge, National Anthem, Special Olympics Athlete Oath (read by a low
incidence student)- “Let me win, if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt.”
10:30-11:00- First Half of basketball game. (20 minutes running clock)
11:00-11:15- Half Time:
o Mesa Cheerleaders
o Zia Cheerleaders
o “Spread the word to end the word” video

11:15-11:35- Second Half (20 minutes running clock)
11:40- “Fans in the Stands” report back to class.
11:45-12:45- Skills Competition

o Skills: speed dribble, pass & catch, pass & shoot, 10-meter dribble
12:45-1:15- Pizza Lunch for all participants

1:30- Mesa loads busses and returns to school
o Zia Student council students will report the 5th period.
Friday, March 17th: All Student Council and Low Incidence students will participate in final game
at Vista.

9:00AM: Call Advanced band students out for set up.
9:45AM: Vista Athletes arrive at Sierra. Sierra student’s athletes will welcome Vista as they get off the bus. (Buses will drop
off students in the SPED bus drop off)
10:00AM: (2nd period) Sierra students who will be performing will report to the gym.
10:05AM: “Fans will fill stands” Sierra students who will be watching the game will report to the gym.
10:15AM- 10:30AM: The National Anthem (Advanced band will perform).
- Special Olympics Athlete Oath
10:30AM-11:00AM: First half of the basketball game (20 minutes running clock)
11:00AM-11:15AM: Half- time schedule:
-Sierra Cheerleaders will perform
- Mr. Day will play The Project Unify Video.
11:15AM-11:35AM: Second half (20 minutes running clock)
11:40AM “Fans in the Stands” report back to their fourth period class.
11:45AM- 12:45PM Skills Competition
-Skills: Speed dribble, pass and catch, pass and shoot, 10- meter dribble.
12:45PM: Students will report to 4th period schedule.
12:45PM-1:15PM: Pizza will be provided for all athletic participants
1:30PM: Vista loads buses and returns to school
