Accomplishments

Coalition members have access to shared services between districts and
municipalities

Continued to operate through a formal operating budget

Successfully completed joint Annual Report and submitted to NYS DEC- no
comments or questions from DEC

Annual Report was posted on the OWSC website as well as individual Coalition
websites for public review and comment

Website continues to be updated and expanded as needed

Continued to hold monthly meetings with all Coalition members for valuable
input and sharing of information and resources; plan of work is established at
each meeting with follow up at the next meeting

Purchased a hand held Garmin Global Positioning System (GPS) unit which was
utilized by the summer intern and is available for all Coalition member to use
throughout the year

Coalition consultants prepared a Model Stormwater Management Program Plan
which was adopted by the Coalition and made available to all members for
individual adoption

The general public outreach and education display was updated and improved for
all members to use

Consultant to the Coalition provided public outreach efforts at various
professional society events throughout the year and attended various member
Board meetings for Coalition updates

The Ontario-Wayne Stormwater Coalition attended the High Acres Land Fill
Open House with our display with attendance of over 400 members of the general
public

Some members of the Coalition attended various stormwater and/or inspection
related training sessions and seminars with some of the registration fees covered
by the Coalition

Purchased and distributed water quality related magnets, magnet clips and
publication materials to each Coalition for distribution to the general public for
education outreach

Permit mandate changes are addressed throughout the year and reported on in the
joint annual report

The coalition hired a temporary engineering intern to perform field inspections for
each coalition member municipality; he accomplished the following:

Performed Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination inspections through
field observations of stormwater discharges
Inspected stormwater outfalls and discharges
Provided inventory support of outfalls for several Coalition members
through use of GPS equipment
Walked and inspected several waterways
Provided written documentation on condition and characteristics of
outfalls during inspection
Performed post construction inspections for stormwater management
facilities
Reported to the Coalition at monthly meetings
