Kevin Butler, Ph.D. comes to Knoxville College from Charlotte, North Carolina where he was Training
Director with All-Star Basketball & Physical Education Academy, Incorporated. This organization provides
physical education courses while developing athletic teams and programs for certified home school students
within the State of North Carolina.
He is the former Pastor of the Jesus Christ Community Church, New Millennium Baptist Church of
Charlotte, North Carolina, and the Mt. Zion Baptist Church of Concord, North Carolina.
Kevin is a physical educator, certified personal fitness trainer, and a member of the game day statistical
operations team with the Charlotte Bobcats of the National Basketball Association. He is also a member of
the following organizations: Black Coaches & Administrators, National Recreation & Park Association,
National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association, Lone Star Masonic Lodge #663 PHA and Charlotte
Consistory #35 PHA in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Kevin was most recently interviewed as a finalist for the position of Assistant Coach with the Washington
Wizards of the NBA and the Phoenix Mercury of the WNBA.
His Basketball Coaching Accomplishments Include Winning: (Two High School State Championships), (A
Junior College Women's National Championship), (Two Junior College Men's Conference Championships),
an (IAC Collegiate Men's Conference Championship), and a (United States Basketball League Divisional
Championship).
Kevin either played, coached, trained, scouted, and/or developed basketball teams and players for more than
29 years at the high school, home school, junior college, collegiate, professional, NBA, ABA, CBA, IBL,
USBL, XBA, and the Italian Red Dogs (men's), and with the 1986 Louisiana Blue's of the National Women's
Basketball Association.
Additionally, Kevin provides player skill development and evaluation for individual basketball players, and
agents who wish to market their clients at the professional level within the United States and Abroad.
