Setting Groups/Assessment Displays as Favorites
-This training packet shares how to set up student groups and assessment displays as Favorites for
easy sorting1. Enter the SOAR Program
2. On the first page, find “Favorites” and click the link
3. Now a new window will come up that shares 3 choices:
a. Home: go back a page
b. Assessment Profile Favorites: allows you to set up assessment profiles as favorites
c. Student Group Favorites: allows you to set up student groups as favorites
4. Select “Assessment Profile Favorites” and you get a new window that allows you select which
assessment displays you would like to set as a favorite(s), see details below:
a. This section allows you to set up search criteria to find a particular assessment, search
by: name, label, item (strand), and active status
b. Use the “Find Now” button after you have selected some search criteria
c. This section shows you all of the available assessment profiles you can select from
d. Click on the box beside the assessment name and then the “Add Now” button to make
this assessment display one of your favorites
e. This section will show the list of any assessments you have added to your favorites

5. After you have added some assessment displays to your favorites, click the close button
6. Now click “Home” at the next window to get back to all of your choices
7. Now select “View Existing Scores” and you will get a new window that shows all of your
assessment display choices…many to choose from…

8. Use the Search section to narrow your search down to your Favorites, by changing the Favorites
drop down to “Yes” and click “Find Now”
9. Now your list will be sorted to show only the assessments you have selected as your favorites
(see image that shows a sample favorites list):

10. Now you can do the same thing with your student groups, click Close and return to page that
includes all of your choices
11. Select “Favorites” and then pick “Student Group Favorites”
12. Now you will get a new window that allows you to select which student groups you want to set
as a favorite(s), see details below:
a. This section allows you to set up search criteria to find a particular group, search by:
name, school year, school, and active status
b. Use the “Find Now” button after you have selected some search criteria
c. This section shows you all of the available student groups you can select from
d. Click on the box beside the group name and then the “Add Now” button to make this
assessment display one of your favorites
e. This section will show the list of any groups you have added to your favorites
13. After you have added at least one student group to your favorites, click Close

14. Now click “Home” to get back to all of your choices
15. Now select “View Existing Scores” and select an assessment you want to examine and click
select next to the assessment name
16. Now you will be at the window to select a Student Group and now you can search by your
favorites to narrow your search down to groups set as favorites, remember to change the drop
down next to Favorites to “Yes” and then click “Find Now”
17. Remember that you can go back to Favorites and make changes whenever you wish
