ELEMENTARY K-5th grade:
Sunday School – Sunday school starts on Sunday, September 11th at 9:45am. NO Summer
Sunday Bible Fun on September 4th.
Spark – Spark will meet from 6:30-7:45pm on Thursdays.
God’s Work, Our Hands – We will meet in the Eichele Hall on Sunday, September 11th for a
chance to help and serve our community. Lunch will be served at 11am and following lunch
there will be two options to help serve our community.
Big Z’s – On Thursday, September 15th all elementary kids are invited to go to Big Z’s from
6:30-7:45pm. There is no school on Friday. Bring $7 for pizza and tokens. Additional money
for more tokens is optional.
Acolyte Training – Wednesday, September 21st for all 5th graders who would like to acolyte. 6th
graders will also be having the training on the same night as well.
MIDDLE SCHOOL 6th-8th grade:
Middle School Chat – We will have middle school chat on Sunday, September 11th and
September 25th only. We will walk to McDonald’s on September 1th and Taco Bell on
September 25th. Please bring a few dollars for breakfast.
Confirmation – It’s that time of year again where we will begin confirmation. There will be a
parent’s meeting on Wednesday, September 7th at 7pm in the youth room. All new incoming
confirmation students will have an acolyte training on Wednesday, September 21st at 7pm.
Confirmation will start on Wednesday, September 28th at a time TBT.

Middle School Youth Gathering – The theme this year is Fearless. The MSYG will be held at
the Sheraton Park Hotel, Anaheim from Friday, November 18th – Sunday, November 20th.
We will be going to Disneyland on Saturday, November 19th. Cost is $220 if paid by September
11th, $230 if paid by October 9th, or $250 if by October 26th. October 26th is the last day to signup. You may apply for endowment by the beginning of October – please let endowment know
that you’ll need the check by October 26th and to make checks out to Lutheran Middle School
Youth Gathering. If you are paying on your own you may make payment beginning now and
make the check out to SVLC.
HIGH SCHOOL 9th-12th grade:
Youth Group – Youth group will take place in the youth room at church on Thursdays from 89:30pm.

Glow Zone – We will be going to Glow Zone in Woodland Hills on Thursday, September 15th
from 8-10pm. There is no school on Friday. Bring $20 for admission.

College /Young –adult:
College Group – The first college group for the fall will be on Sunday, September 11th at the
Mohr’s house. We will meet from 8-10pm. We will study the Book of Revelation chapter 1 on
September 11th and Revelation chapter 2 on September 25th. Bring a snack to share. We will
have cold beverages available.

FUNDRAISING FOR SVLC YOUTH MINISTRY:
Panda Express Fundraiser – On Sunday, September 25th we will have a Panda Express
fundraiser from 11am-10pm. Come anytime between the hours of 11am-10pm. Bring a flier and
let family and friends know as well. 20% of proceeds will be given to our youth ministry
program.
