POSITION PURPOSE
To provide comprehensive, timely and relevant ratings, rankings and analysis of the ESG performance of
extractives sector companies, specifically within the energy industry, allowing asset owners, investment
managers and other stakeholders to incorporate extensive ESG and sustainability information into their
investment processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


Research, analyze and rate the ESG performance of extractives sector companies and prepare
profiles to be published in Sustainalytics’ Global Access portal;
Support the preparation of off-the-shelf and customized deliverables for clients;

Research ESG trends relevant in the extractives sector;
Participate in quality assurance and best-of-sector analysis; and
Contribute to the development of intellectual capital and thought leadership through reportwriting and public-facing activities.
QUALIFICATIONS














Excellent business English oral and written skills;
Currently eligible to work in Amsterdam;
Undergraduate degree in related discipline (business, finance, environment and/or social
science);
Understanding of and/or strong interest in the financial services industry and SRI/RI market;
Basic knowledge of the extractives sector considered an asset;
Basic knowledge of carbon-related issues and climate change, as they pertain to the energy
sector, also considered an asset;
Demonstrated passion for sustainability;
Strong research and analytical skills;
Meticulous and attentive to detail;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
Client focused;
Resourceful and independent;
Flexible and adaptable; and
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
