New! Coed Cardio Tennis
for all levels being offered on Wednesday noon-1pm, Friday, 9:30-10:30am, and Sunday 8-9am. Two
six week winter sessions starting week of Jan12th.
New! Coed TRX, “Fit to Hit”, on Saturday mornings at 8am. Strictly TRX on court, no hitting. Dates to be determined on Saturday.
Future Stars After School Junior Development
An after school program for juniors of all ages and abilities. Class emphasis is on fun, sportsmanship, match play,
and modern skill techniques for today’s junior players. See schedule below.

* The After School program is designed to give participants a chance to play matches on Fridays after school. There will be a $5 fee for each
member, and $8 for each non-member who participates in Friday matches – fee to cover the cost of a coach and balls.
Spring Break Junior Camps:. Fun skills, drills and play during camps for all levels and ages. Camps will be held
Monday through Wednesday March 31-April 2. Both camps, beg/adv beg and inter/adv, will be from 9am-noon.
Three days of great instruction, mid-practice snacks, and end of day treats. Fee is $135 for members.
Summer Junior Team Tennis Signups: March 10th is the start of Rancho Summer Junior Team registration. Go on line
to the Rancho web site, down load the application (mail in), workout/match schedules, and junior calendar.
Ladies Future Stars
For ladies new to the game, or just getting back in the swing of things after a long layoff. Grips, modern
techniques, strategy, and match play will be covered in this fun class.

Ladies Team Practices
If you are playing on a C, B2, or A Spring League or BALL teams, practices are:
C (2.5–low 3.0): Monday 9 - 10:30am or Thursday 9 - 10:30am
B2 (3.0+–low 3.5): Tuesday 9-10:30am or Wednesday 10:30 - noon
A (3.5+): Wednesday 9 - 10:30am
Ladies 3.0/3.5 Sunday morning practice – 9-10:30am: Jan 12th-Mar. 23rd (no practice Presidents weekend)
Team Practices: start on week of Jan. 6th and end the week of May 12th (17 weeks – no practices during Spring
Break). You must enroll for the entire Winter/Spring season; Emphasis will be on strokes, footwork, winning tactics,
and TRX conditioning. Must commit to season and find own subs. Fee split amongst those signed up (with 6 players
and one coach fee is $17.50 per workout - with 8 players, two coaches fee is $21.50 per workout, with 10 $17.50/workout)

UPCOMING EVENTS
USTA Winter 40 & over league: This is a new league that requires only 5 players/match, 1 singles and 2 doubles. We
are looking at teams in men’s 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and ladies 3.5. Men contact John Vocke at [email protected] , and
women contact Molly Ogro at [email protected].
USTA Spring Adult League: Sign ups on the USTA Nor Cal web site starts in February. Rancho will be fielding teams for
ladies and men’s 3.0, ladies and men’s 3.5, and men’s 4.0. Go to ustanorcal.com, search for Rancho Colorados,
click on a Rancho 2014 team you want, and register. You must be a current USTA member, and If you don’t have a
current rating, you can self rate on line. Play starts week of April 1st.
Valentine Chocolate Social Mixed Doubles, Feb. 8, 3:00 - 5pm: A fun way to celebrate Valentine Day with your
mate or an approved one (if the spouse doesn’t play). Round robin format with all levels welcome, followed by
drinks and delicious chocolate treats. Sign up the same way as above Future Stars classes. Must bring a Valentine
Card for your partner!
Rancho Spring Social Mixed Doubles: Mark your calendar: This Spring Rancho will be hosting two Social Mixed
Doubles events. These fun round robin events are followed by a delicious potluck dinner. The first one Sat. March
22nd , 4-6pm, is “Saint Patty’s Day – a Beer Festival” followed by Irish pot-luck dishes. The second one will be “Cinco
De Mayo - night of the Margarita” on Friday May 2nd from 6-8pm followed by a pot-luck Mexican dinner. (Look in
February for more details on the Rancho Web site). Molly Ogro is the coordinator. Sign up the same way as above
Future Stars classes.
