Mount Auburn
Hospital
OMS Tobacco Free Peer
Leadership Program.
Seventh grade students used a
method called Photovoice to
share what they want their peers
and people who live in Arlington
to know about their choice to be
tobacco free.
This is a sign of freedom. To be
tobacco free means being free from
the habit and able to do what I
want to do. I am tobacco free.
This is my bass guitar. I like to
spend my time playing music.
I choose to play the guitar and
I choose to be tobacco free.
I like to play sports. I know that if I
start to smoke it would affect my
ability to play to my full potential.
This is why I am tobacco free.
This is someone who might
smoke feeling like they are
trapped in their habit. If he
can reach outside he can see
that it is a clean, healthy, clear
environment. The outside
represents a smoke free
happiness. I can reach it
because I am tobacco free.
This picture I thought was cool because
the sun was beaming down, and I
thought how nice it was to be outside
with the clear air and bright skies, and
the clean and fresh atmosphere.
This is what tobacco free looks like.
I don’t want to waste my life
by smoking. It is easier to
manage a smoke-free life than
a smoke-full life.
This line started straight, and then hit curves in
the road. To me this represents the ways I have
made bad choices, but I have changed my path
to live a healthier smoke free life.
