today. It is the world’s premier beer

179 beer judges from 27 countries.
An impressive field of 3,401 entries
from 642 breweries in 44 countries
made up the competition. More than

The Imperial IPA was an awesome category to
win for us as it was very hotly contested and
Hardcore IPA was up against some amazing
beers. We are thrilled the panel of judges liked
our new double dry hopped monster. The huge
beer has an encapsulating malt backbone for
the ensuing avalanche of high alpha American
hops. Our first double dry hopped beer,
Hardcore has an insane aroma which hits you
as soon as you open the bottle. Boat loads of
Centennial, Columbus and Simcoe provide
an intense rush of flavours and mercilessly
hammers the hop resins into your tongue as
the bitterness punishes your pallet. We have
the gold medal winning Hardcore IPA in stock,
in bottles, 4 packs and kegs all ready to ship.

Bre
Customers in the UK can now get their grubby little
paws on their favourite BrewDog beers in kegs. We have
recently started putting Punk IPA, 77 Lager and 5am
Saint into kegs for the UK market. We feel a lot of the
beers we brew are better suited to being carbonated and
served colder from keg as opposed to dispensed as real
ale from a cask. It is a great way to serve craft beer and
hopefully an area which will develop in the UK the same
way it has in the US. We also have kegs ready to rock in
export markets as we build on the success we have had
using one way disposable keykegs.

Scrabbling
for beer
Everyone at the brewery was absolutely delighted
when Mattel – the clever folk who make Scrabble –
announced that pro-nouns would now be included in
Scrabble. This not only means that people’s names
are now acceptable fodder but also the titles of brands
and companies – the word BrewDog alone is worth a
honourable 14 points!
Nara!
Most customers will know the email address and the
friendly voice at the other end of the phone. Narayanan
is BrewDog’s Operations Manager and looks after stock,
logistics and orders. It is Nara who processes all of your
orders. Along with Jack he usually makes up the pallets
too! “I’ve been part of BrewDog for the past two and a
half years. As the name Narayanan might suggest, I’m
originally from India but have lived all over the place,
mainly working at different breweries. James gave
me a job at BrewDog on the basis of one phone-call so
I packed my bags and headed to Scotland. I was really
impressed with the BrewDog beers and the company’s
approach and I wanted to be part of the team! At
BrewDog I actually started off doing brewing, bottling
and packing, specialising in filtration, before being
elevated to the role of Operations Manager.” Nara
also shrugs off his recent modelling of the new t-shirts
“things like the t-shirts are just another tiny part of
the bigger BrewDog mission that knows exactly what
direction it’s going in.”
