2.PROGRAMME:
2.1 Introduction
Economic and social phenomena that appeared in today's globalization, the
impact of several economic, social, environmental and other problems, require the
application of adequate theoretical approaches to the analysis of economic
processes and phenomena. A priority task of the educational process in these
circumstances is to increase the quality characteristics of the educational process.
The study of subject "Fundamentals of economic theory" will allow future
professionals to understand social and economic phenomena and processes taking
place in the world and Kazakhstan society.
Economic theory is a theoretical and methodological basis of the study of all
other economic disciplines, forms the economic outlook. Economic theory
provides a systematization of theoretical knowledge, develops skills of
independent analysis of economic phenomena and processes, forms am active civic
attitude. It forms the skills of behaviour of person in conditions of market
economy.
Programme of the course "Fundamentals of economic theory" is aimed at
learning not abstract theoretical truth, but the baggage of economic knowledge
needed for practice, to master economic concepts and categories, which reflect the
objective economic processes, to develop skills of choosing effective management
decisions. Theoretical orientation of the course is agreed with the whole set of
economic and social relations. They are considered in unity and interdependence as
core elements of the social and economic system and economic culture of
behavior.
"Fundamentals of economic theory" is a fundamental discipline, the study of
which introduces students to a wide range of economic concepts, principles,
patterns forming the basis of modern economic thinking and lay the foundation for
further study of social and economic disciplines.
2.2 Learning goals of the course: is formation of system of knowledge about
economic patterns of social development and problems with its effective
functioning.
2.3 Learning objectives:
- consideration of the principles and motives of human economic behaviour under
conditions of limited resources;
- to identify the specifics of economic relations in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
- the formation and development of students ' abilities to analyze the status and
trends of social and economic development of national and world economy;
- identification of the functions and limits of market system’s efficiency, as well as
the main forms of economic regulation.
