




2000 – 2001
Responsible for setting up the Unix-based testing lab for Terminal Network Management
(TCM). Administrating the various Unix server included Solaris 6/7/8, HPUX 10.20/11.0 and
Linux (Red Hat and Debian)
Tested various products for functionality, stress/performance and regression using the
PVCS Tracker development database.
Doubled group testing performance and capacity by creating automation scripts using Perl,
Simple Tester, Silk test, Tcl, WinRunner and Unix shell scripts.
Hosted weekly product defect review meetings with software engineers to solve problems
and provide accurate defect tracking reports to product management.
Administered the testing lab’s software and network systems including configuring routers,
Novell, Microsoft and HP (Openview) networking clients and Proxy, DNS and FTP servers.

Assigned as Unix Administrator and test engineer at IBM Rochester
 Administered all AIX and OS400 system development process
 Set up AFS/DFS Family structure

 Worked with configurable fields
 Developed automated test tools using Perl, and UNIX shell scripts.
 Received an award for outstanding achievement in a National Language Support (NLS)
localization project that included coordinating the activities of 12 translators from various
countries including France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Japan, Brazil, Portugal and Italy.
 Created and maintained an internal web site that included the NSM product description, a
defects database and served as a repository of all technical documentation.





Received an award for excellent achievement
Was initially hired to test the compatibility between Solaris UNIX and SQICS system. The
company wanted to upgrade the existing Interactive unix to Solaris
Successfully ported the SQICS code to Solaris.
The project was so successful that they extended the Internship. I then completed the
upgrade. This included implementing a remote installation and customized CDE
environment; tested key Sartell software on isolated Solaris based network; Set up and
installed Dvdraw library; Modified, debugged and tested all SQICS source code files (in C
language); Developed an internal Web-site for Solaris documentation. This has save the
company $150,000 in cost from contracted the project to private firm.
