Were you born after 31 August 2001? Do you want to play for the Berkshire Under 9 Chess Team? If your answer was “yes” to all three questions you are invited to a Chess Tournament on Sunday 10th October 2010. The event will be used as the initial basis to select the 2010/2011 Berkshire Under 9 Squad. The annual Cup will be awarded to the winner, who will also have the honour of being Berkshire’s Board 1 player for our first friendly match. In the event of a tie for first place, there will be no playoff. The Cup will be shared, as will the board 1 position at the first friendly. There will be trophies to keep for those finishing in the first three places and certificates for all competitors. Parental Responsibility: The organisers accept no responsibility for any loss, theft or accident during the event. Adult supervision will only be provided in the playing areas.
