Season 2:
Training sessions will begin again the week of 16th of May at the
Palmerston Rec Centre after Arafura Games.
We are gearing up for Season 2 which will start after the June/July
School holidays. All new players for Season 2 will need to be pre
registered before we nominate the teams so we have a firm commitment
on numbers. So if you know anyone who is interested in playing Season
2 get them to get in contact with the club and we will get them signed
up.
The Club has to pay to nominate teams to the D.B.A (part of where your
fees go to), and also we have committee members chasing players for
information and fees so pre registration will help with this.

We will be taking a photo of as many players as we can for the
Channel 9 Team of the Week
this Sunday 15/5 at the
Palmerston Rec Centre at 11.45am. Please come in full playing
uniform and support the Power!
Future Direction of the Club:
Your committee has been meeting regularly recently to discuss the
future direction of the club. Main points of discussion are:

Long term sponsorship to secure the financial future of the Club, in
addition to the current deal we have with McDonalds Palmerston
regarding Uniforms.

Business Plan meetings to discuss the direction and growth the
club should take.

Planning meetings to help build a relationship with the YMCA
Palmerston Rec Centre. We are now locked into a 12 month
contract with the YMCA

Planning meeting to begin lobbying for the building of a 3 rd court
at the YMCA Palmerston

Discussions to be held with B.N.T (Basketball N.T) to decide the
steps needed to prepare the club to fulfill the long term goal of
becoming an Association.

Discussions about the steps needed to be put in place to fulfill the
long term goal of having Palmerston v Palmerston and eventually
home games played in Palmerston.
Any suggestions input or feedback is welcomed.

who are giving up their valuable time to meet regularly.

Looking after our Coaches.
Our coaches are mums and dads of our players and are a huge asset to
the club; please let them know if you are unable to attend training or a
game.

So we can email the newsletter directly to the older Junior players
Playing Up A Grade:
If you are interested in playing a grade above your required grade(i.e you play u12s
but would like to also play u14’s) in Season 2 please email the club and we will
endeavor to have you placed in team. Team selection meetings are currently taking
place so please let us know as soon as possible.

for its growing junior and senior teams. If you have played basketball before and
