requires significant housing development
Total AVDC
Requirement
by 2033:
30,000
Key Issues
• It might (just might) work but it can’t be delivered
piecemeal !
• Can’t plan with opportunistic applications
• Infrastructure is in the centre and ad hoc developments
don’t change this (Grammar schools, Hospital,
supermarkets and major employers and soon college!)
• Actually traffic does not want to bypass Aylesbury as
much as you think (11% only)
• Roads need houses – Aylesbury has to ‘swallow’ the
villages

Even if we “win” Will the developer
come back?
 Possibly but with two negative decisions it becomes
much more difficult for them without significant
changes !
 AVDC should have a plan by then
www.hampdenfieldsactiongroup.com
The process
 AVDC determine the application
 Likely to get officer support but it goes before a 9
person committee
 If AVDC approve: Options: Judicial Review/ SoS
call in.
 If AVDC reject: Appeal as before, Rule 6 party
