FortWorth–Today,CristoReyFortWorthHighSchoolboardchairmanCharlieMorrison
announcedthehiringoftheschool’spresidentandtheengagementofanationaleducation
searchfirmtofindthehighschool’sfoundingprincipal.
“TheboardisexcitedtoannouncethehiringofJohnPritchettasPresidentofCristoRey
FortWorthHighSchool.John’sexperienceinbuildingorganizationsandleadingteams,and
histiestotheFortWorthcommunitywillservethemissionoftheschoolwell-toendthe
cycleofpovertyandprepareourstudentsforcollegeandlife,”saidMr.Morrison.
Pritchettisafourth-generationFortWorthnativewith22years’experienceinstrategic
consulting,campaigns,andfundraisingatthenational,state,andlocallevels.Forthelast
nineyearsheledhisownconsultingpracticefocusingonNorthTexaspoliticalraces,crisis
management,andassistingnon-profits.
OneofPritchett’sfirstactionsaspresidentwastoengagenationaleducationsearchfirmJG
Consultingtofindtheschool’sfoundingprincipal.
JamesGuerraofJGConsultingsaid,“WearethrilledtopartnerwithCristoReyFortWorth
HighSchool.Thefirmishonoredtoservethecommunityandwelcomestheopportunityto
supporttheimminentgrowthofthenewcampus.Ourgoalistorecruitthebestqualified
candidatestoserveasthecampusprincipal.”
Concludingtoday’sannouncementPritchettsaid,“CristoReyisseriousaboutincreasing
accesstoeducation,breakingthecycleofpoverty,andcontributingtothecommongood.
We’resettinghighexpectationsforourstudents,andinturntheywillearntheirhigh
schooleducationfromaprofessionalfacultysecondtonone.Thisstartswithastrong
motivatedprincipal.”
CristoReyFortWorthHighSchoolisaprivateindependentcollegepreparatoryCatholic
highschoolthatwilleducateyoungpeopleoflimitedeconomicmeanstobecomemenand
womenoffaith,purposeandservice.Througharigorouscollegepreparatorycurriculum,
integratedwitharelevantworkstudyexperience,studentsgraduatereadytosucceedin
collegeandinlife.Itispartofanationalnetworkofover30schoolsfoundedinChicagoin

Theschool’scampusislocatedadjacenttoOurMotherofMercyCatholicChurchinthe
historicTerrellHeightsneighborhoodimmediatelysoutheastofdowntownFortWorth.
Studentsarescheduledtoarriveoncampusinthesummerof2018withaprojected
freshmanclassof125youngwomenandmen.Anewclasswillbeaddedeachyeartowards
afullcapacityof500studentsbyfall2021.
