NOTICE FOR PARENTS AROUND PAID UNION MEETINGS
The Government has announced a proposal to dramatically change
the way schools are funded.
NZEI Te Riu Roa (primary teachers union) and PPTA (secondary
teachers unions) are the unions that represent more than 60,000
teachers and support staff from birth to year 13.
The two unions have asked all members at our local schools to attend
a meeting on Wednesday 14th September- to hear more about the
Governments funding proposal and help determine the education
sector’s response.
The meetings are paid union meetings, which means Waipipi
School will not have teaching staff present Wednesday 14th
September between 1pm-2:30pm.
It is important for union members in our school to attend these
meetings to have a say.
We encourage you to pick your child/ren up between 12-12:45pm
on this day. If this is not possible, please contact the school as
early as possible so that we can make appropriate arrangements
for your child.

Yesterday was soccer. I like soccer. My team won. I was in the yellow team. I
kept on saying I wish I had a gold medal.

I went to soccer. I liked it, it was very cool. We were playing in a red field. I got
a goal. I was in the blue team. My coach helped me. We won and I was
happy.
