Extension In-Services and Workshops These are in-services and workshops conducted since January 2000 within the state of Pennsylvania. These in-services and workshops were conducted for one of three target audiences: 4-H youth development and/or family and consumer science educators/agents; professionals in education, human services, and/or non-profits; and parents and/or youth. I grouped these in-services and workshops by topical area. Collaboration This topic involved increasing knowledge about effective collaboration and partnership on behalf of children, youth, and families. Twenty-eight in-services and workshops were conducted with more than 75% being 3 or more hours in length. Family Development This topic involved increasing knowledge about positive parenting techniques and family development. Twenty-eight in-services and workshops were conducted with more than a third being 2 or more hours in length. Of the 39 in-services and workshops, 13 were conducted with Extension educators; 26 with professionals in education; human services; and/or non-profits; and 6 with parents. The total number of participant was 1,806. Youth Development This topic involved increasing knowledge about positive and community youth development framework and its application. Sixty-nine in-services and workshops were conducted with more than half being 2 or more hours in length. Of the 83 in-services and workshops, 39 were conducted with Extension educators; 23 with professionals in education; human services; and/or non-profits, and 15 with parents and/or youth.
