ACS Review and Appeal Information

If you disagree with the assessment in your ACS Result Letter, you may submit either a Review or an Appeal application

Both applications incur a $395 fee and will take 3-4 weeks to be processed

A Review or an Appeal can only be submitted within 60 days of the date on your ACS Result Letter

After the 60-day period has elapsed, a new application will be required.
Difference Between an Appeal and a Review Application
Additional documentation can only be submitted with Review Applications and not with an appeal. The appeal fee will be refunded
if the appeal application is successful.
Review Application
Reasons for a Review Application:



You wish to be assessed under a different ANZSCO Code
You wish to submit additional documentation for work experience or qualifications not included in your original
application to have your results updated (a new ACS Result Letter will be issued to you)
You wish to contest the result of your ACS skills assessment.
You will be able to state the reason for your review in the application which will be the focus of your Review assessment.
Review Details:



A review fee of $395 is payable for all review assessments
Additional documentation is required to support your review application
A review should not be completed if your result letter has already been submitted for Migration purposes

Please Note: After the 60 days have elapsed, a review is no longer possible and a new application is required.
Appeal Application
If you disagree with the result of your assessment outcome and you believe an error has been made in your skills assessment, you
may submit an Appeal application.
To submit an Appeal application, use the Linking to an Earlier Application option in the application form.
Please include detailed reasons why you believe the original outcome is incorrect. Only one appeal can be made per case and the
appeal outcome is final.
If your Appeal is successful, a full refund of the Appeal fee will be refunded.
Please Note: After the 60 days have elapsed, an appeal is no longer possible and a new application is required.
